You tell a joke to someone. "What did the *laugh* tomato s-say *laugh* to t-the other *laugh* t-tomato?"You start laughing hysterically while you say it.

"What?" Your friend asks with a poker face.

"*hysterical laugh* Why are you blushing! *hysterical laugh*" You say, while hysterically laughing. You think it's THE BEST JOKE EVER.

"NOT FUNNY." She/He answers.

GAH WHY FRIEND WHY? I WORKED SO HARD FOR MY BLUSHING TOMATO JOKE, AND YOU RUIN IT?!? HOW DARE YOU.

Just so you know, this example did not happen to me because the joke is really terrible.
