Rant: 167:
I know it's a vine people. (Referring to the other rant.)
One of my serious rants. Beware: my opinions.
So I'm ussually never racist. I try my best. But it has dawned on me that I, sometimes, am considered "racist" when, I'm really not? At least I don't think I am.
So I ask my friend for white computer paper for my project, and immediately she spurts put, "THAT'S RACIST!"
Umm...what?
I just asked for white paper. Is white not a color anymore? I feel like when someone says white, they imagine...white-the color. But these days I guess some people imagine a white person? (no offense to anyone!)
And then another time, we were choosing construction paper for our ELA project, and I picked the black one because it was on a dark book, called 'Forged by Fire,' and it suited the theme.
And again my friend says, "that's racist! You're picking black over white!" Then when she was picking the color for the border, she picked blue and I jokingly said, "that's racist to Smurfs!" She didn't find it funny.
Then, I thought about it more.
Is this racism? Are white and black not colors anymore? Please give me your opinions. And I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Sorry!
