Percy was nervous. He wanted to do it-but what if she said no? What if she walked away? What if Gaea popped out of the ground and killed them? No. He was being stupid.

'Maybe I should tell the guys what I'm planing. They'll help right?' He thought. Sure, Leo might make a few jokes but, what else can go wrong?

Oh right. Everything.

He found Frank Jason and Leo by the Zeus cabin.

"It's boring without monsters isn't it?" Frank said. They all greeted Percy with a nod as he sat down.

"Yeah sure. Because monsters, and a dirt god trying to murder you is just swell!" Leo sighed. They actually laughed at his joke. It felt weird. They always used to hear jokes and nod to it and leave it at that, but they actually laughed. It felt good.

"Uh, I have something to say actually." Percy spoke up. "I'm planning on asking Annabeth to marry me." He nodded toward Annabeth, who was laughing with the Athena cabin.

"I have this ring," he took out the ring he brought with his mother that winter. It was a diamond ring which was glittering, not too bright, in the setting sun. "I want to do it now. Can you guys, just not laugh?"

"Sure, but watch this first." And Leo darted away. Percy thought he was going to get a camera or something but Leo was headed to Annabeth.

He went down on one knee and, and he looked at the shocked Annabeth. "Annabeth..."

"WHAT THE-". Percy tried to interrupt but-

"Annabeth," Leo said a little louder. The whole camp was staring. He then did the most stupidest thing he had ever done:

He tied his shoelace. "PERCY WANTS TO SAY SOMETHING!" And with that

He ran as the whole camp burst out in laughter. Annabeth stopped laughing as Percy came in front of her and bent down on his knee. He took out the glittering ring.

"Wise Girl. I have known you from the first day at camp. We have been through so many things-really. Seriously we've been through hell. Literally-I-I guess what I'm trying to say is: Will you marry me?"

And with that he put the ring in her finger and they kissed.
