So I know why Hagrid really likes monsters. It's because he knows how it feels like to be a monster. Giants aren't welcome in the Wizarding community, and in the chamber of secrets, everyone points fingers at Hagrid. He knows that monsters are misunderstood creatures. Good monsters that is.

His past makes him feel sorry for the monsters and that's another reason why I love Hagrid's character! Make that another reason why I think Harry should name his next son Rubeus. (If he has one that is)
