I AM SO MAD

WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE

First, even though all my readers already know this, why would a fictional homosexual character make you want to puke? Why is this different from a heterosexual character? It's not like they make out or anything. Rick didn't even make a very big deal out of it because he knew if he did then people would get mad at him for it. And this is why J.K. Rowling has people mad at her, because she only included one LGBTQ+ character and she didn't even give him a boyfriend/husband. Besides, I've only read a few books that don't have all heterosexual characters. We need representation somewhere and Rick had enough representation in HoO with different races so he was just the person to include a homosexual (plus I think Will is bisexual) character. We need children to read this so at a young age they have the idea that being gay is totally fine and normal and there was no reason to hate it. That way when they grow up, they can teach their children that it's okay and so on until there is a noticeably less amount of homophobes in the world. What Rick did was pretty amazing considering he probably knew that by doing it he would lose a lot of readers, but he knew that he needed to show these children that it was okay.
