Firstly I'm not bashing the fanfic, I actually really like it. I'm just using it as an example.

So there's this fanfic I'm reading where the mother, who had been hitting her son for many years now. Had attempted to apologise to him, after the many years of beatings. I know a lot of people would see this as a good thing. I do not.
Because something like beating your own flesh and blood, is not something you can just apologies for. It is something that will follow that child for the rest of their lives. And would most definitely cause some mental problems. Below is the comment I left on the fanfic about her apology. Read it so you can understand why I can't forgive this woman.

'I know lots of people are going to be happy that she is trying to apologise for what she did, but there is no way I can forgive her. She had beaten her own son.
That's not something you can just forgive and forget. People who have gone through this, will know that it will follow them for the rest of their lives. It sticks with them, and most of the time they end up becoming just like the patent that had beaten them.
So I can't forgive someone who thinks it's ok to hit their own flesh and blood.
What makes it worse, is she knew that his father use to do it before her.'

Ok the reason I feel so strongly about this is because it's just wrong. I have heard many stories about parents beating their children. Sometimes beating them to death.

I once read a story, where a father had beaten his one year old daughter to death. What's worse is, he had killed her just because she had tripped over his Xbox 360 while he was playing.

So that's why I hate the thought of parents beating their children. It effects them in a big way, and most of them grow up to be just like their parents, because it's all they know. So that is why I can not forgive the woman from the fanfic. Because there is NOTHING she or anyone can say to justify, a parent beating their own flesh and blood.
