Hi! Today i'm doing an album review on Halsey's senior album "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom". 

It will be in order from track to track so get a snack or something.

Track 1 - The Prologue 

This is actually the whole story, its only about 1:47 so it isn't a "song" so i'll go read the lyrics to try to understand it better. "The prologue, gives listeners an idea what her album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is about. Her second studio album is based upon Romeo and Juliet, the two houses being Angelus and Aureum. The two famous star-crossed lovers being renamed Solis and Luna. The roles were gender swapped, Luna (Halsey) taking Romeo's place, in the house of Aureum. And Solis (Halsey's lover) taking Juliet's place, in the good house of Angelus.

The prologue introduces the re'told familiar story from William Shakespeare."

Track 2 - 100 Letters

This whole album is so different, but sounds so similar and I think this is an amazing way to get into this project. This project is where she realized she related to romeo and Juliet because she was "living it". She had given most of her identity to her partner and the real version of herself is dying to make there love work. This is awful, because ive done this too. Ive blocked out friends and family just so I could focus on a failing relationship and Id change myself and buy clothing I don't like because I wanted to impress him. Although, the track is a bit slow and confusing at first you will sure fall in-love with it the more you listen to it. The lyrics remind me a bit of Cake by Melanie Martinez abit.

Track 3 - Eyes Closed

I love this track so much I can't describe it. The story is pretty obvious for me, and i'm sure for everyone. It's about going into a relationship but still having feelings for the last relationship partner witch is heartbreaking. I know this all too well and it hurts, and it's like every time I hear this I want to hug her and cry and ugh!! Its beautiful. The bass helps the song so much along with her vocals. 

Track 4 - Heaven In Hiding

This track is the two characters falling for eachother in perspective of Halsey's character, Luna. Nothing more to describe. Its pretty much a love song, and I love the chorus its amazing. 

Track 5 - Alone

 I'm assuming this is the other side of the other character. It is a pretty fast song. With a catchy chorus and a good instrumentals. 

Track 6 - Now Or Never

In the story Romeo and Juliet, both of them are supposed to be completely against each other. In this case, Halsey and her partner are like this. Halsey is the bad and her partner is in a "pure good" family. The music video with this knowledge explains alot but the ending witch I can explain, Halsey and her partner try to escape the Kingdom, but can't. That simple.

Track 7 - Sorry

Oooh Halsey's voice with a grand piano is beautiful. 

This track explains how Halsey's insecurities was part of her relationship with this partner. And how they pushed him away from her, and she is left wondering if shell ever get close to him ever again. ;-; Heartbreaking song </3

Track 8 - Good Mourning 

What a weird a** intro. 

It starts with a child describing something and then i don't know its like trippy asf. You have to listen to understand what i'm trying to describe, but failing.

It has bits of castle in it, you have to find it. It sounds great with her voice and that one continuous note (lol) the only bad thing I have to point out about this track is the rap. It is kinda a "turn off" to the theme of the album for me. But, the track is great.

Track 9 - Walls could talk

What a weird Britney Spears sounding song. I assume by the lyrics and title, its about the things that happened in the relationship that no one really knew about but the two in the relationship. A little upsetting its only about 2 minutes long, but still its gr8.

Track 10 - Bad At Love

 This is a song you need to listen to the lyrics. Its about all her relationships. It goes from each different relationship and how she thought they were "The one" and how they could "fix" her. And ofcorse, they didn't end well, so she goes in the song to say shes "Bad at love".

Track 12 - Don't play

So the song goes, after she goes to a bar, she pays for all the drinks, and she gets this attitude of a winner, and she doesn't have time for their games. (I'm assuming meaning the other people at the bar flirting with her and she didn't want to deal with it?) For a Halsey song, it sounds so much like beyonce. 

Track 13 - Strangers

This is my favorite song so far besides eyes closed, the sound of it is draft punk ish and its amazing. The song is basically about a fem x fem relationship, she made this point in an interview because she was scared before, that she would loose her male audience but personally I ain't going anywhere. <3

Track 14 - Angel on fire 

This track goes to talk about when she was in the center of attention, and how she had to deal with anxiety. Its a good sounding song, sounds kinda like a Lana Del Rey song. 

Track 15 - Devil In Me

(Sia and Rihanna helped Halsey write this just saying)

This song says how everyone has a demon inside them and in "Hold me down" from her last album she learned how to deal or "hold down" her demon from a relationship. And how after that relationship has ended, the demon is waking up again. This song (in my opinion) has to be the best on the album. AND ITS ON THE VINYL ;D.

Track 16 - Hopeless

"The truth hurts, but secrets kill" good quote Halsey <3 this song is about her partner avoiding/neglecting her? Its a good closer for the album but music wise, i'm sure devil in me would be the best closer. 

This album was amazing and i'm expecting a tour out of this because she said shes working hard on the live show so i'm excited for that. Halsey never seems to disappoint. She works so hard for everything and she is amazing <3 <3.

I would rate this album 8.5 out of 10. While its amazing, some of the tracks should be longer and the whole rap with auto tune is bad in my opinion, but thats because I hate rap. So :P 

I would suggest you to buy this. Its an amazing album and I love that I pre ordered it.
