I'm really pissed right now because my college is scamming me for over $9,000. What I was paying for one semester was $800 and that's after my scholarships and everything but I just took a loan out for $3,500 a semester and I got a scholarship for $1,000 to live on campus and my room and board combined was supposed to be $4,000 which would've been completely covered. Now the school is saying that my scholarships, loan, and pale grants don't cover anything which would've made my cost $6,000 a semester which would suck but I could find a way to pay for it but then they started adding fees for things I wouldn't even need! $900 for sports (I don't play sports because I have weak lungs), $500 for using the student union that has FREE SERVICES FOR ALL STUDENTS, $90 for recreation, $150 for student activities (I'm not even in any clubs, I'm literally a freshman), $600 for the library (my sister works at a library and even her work doesn't charge that much just to step foot in the door much less use a computer or check out a book!), and so many other fees. It's ridiculous! And here's the thing: my sister is a senior at the same college and we have the same pale grants and scholarships but her room and board was covered as well as all of her costs and she didn't have an outragous bill! I'm a freshman who hasn't even started school there yet my costs are higher than my sister's who went there for 4 years and has another semester to go! Like bro, what the fuck?! My school literally scammed me. And I have until the end of the month to come up with over $9,000 to pay for school or they will send cops after me and my family to get us to pay the school. They literally said that to me. My options are pay $9,000 or pay it in court. I told my mom I should've gone to an out of state art school! Because in-state schools like to scam people! Out of state art schools don't even cost $9,000 in a year and my school wants it for a semester!
