If you don't know, I'm in choir. A select choir called sophomore select.  10th graders (or Year 10 for you,  ilbarker).  We had a competition today (tonight) and we were SO SCARED.

Freshman advanced (9th graders/Year 9) had some severely good singers and we were afraid they'd do better than us.  They were THAT GOOD.

But...we got the results back.

We did two things.

Performance, or singing the songs.

Sightreading, or looking at notes on a music staff and singing them correctly.

Division I is the highest division.  Only the best get this and they also get to go to all-state (this competition was all-region).  Division II(R) is just below division I, but R means recommended for all-state (basically meaning we go).  Division II is below that. Those who get that don't go to all-state.  Division III, IV, and V are just unheard of for us, but those are just lower.

We get different divisions for sightreading and performance.

We, the sophomore select, got division II(R) in performance and division I in sightreading.

Freshmen got division II(R) in performance and division II(R) in sightreading.

Guys....

WE'RE FREAKING GOING TO ALL-STATE!!!!!!!!
