Becca Speaks (Because EC Is Lazy)

Becca stood outside the door leading to her "reward"----a little chat with EC herself.

Becca had just gotten up from bed to see she won, but was also greeted with another horrifying discovery.

Her questions were already lined up, and she had a serious bone to pick with EC.

She steeled herself and opened the door, leading into a dimly lit room with EC grinning evilly at her.

Becca slammed the door shut and went straight up to EC, terrified out of her mind, but her anger covering it.  "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY FRIENDS, EC?!"  She asked angrily.

EC laughed.  "ɧɛɧ, ɛҳą¢ɬιყ щɧąɬ ı ℘γơɱıʂɛɖ.  ɱąƙıŋɠ ɬɧɛɱ ɱıŋɛ."

Becca glared.  "Are you...blackmailing them?"

EC scoffed.  "щɧąɬ ɖơ ყơų ɬąƙɛ ɱɛ ʄơγ? ŋơ.. ɧɛɧ ı ɧą۷ɛ ŋơ ŋɛɛɖ ʄơγ ცιą¢ƙɱąıι щɧɛŋ ı ¢ąŋ ɬąγɠɛɬ щɛąƙŋɛʂʂ."

"I take you for a very VERY evil person.  ...My weaknesses may be obvious, but I'll still never succumb to you...."

Becca shivered internally, trying to remember her next question.  "How...How is Cass' mental state...?"

"ɱɛŋɬąι ʂɬąɬɛ? ɧą, ʂɧɛ'ʂ ąιɱơʂɬ ცγơƙɛŋ. щɧɛŋ ı ɬɛιι ɧɛγ ɬɧɛ ŋɛщʂ ơʄ ¢ơγγų℘ɬıŋɠ ąιι ɧɛγ ʄγıɛŋɖʂ, ɧơ℘ɛʄųιιყ ɬɧąɬ щıιι ცγɛąƙ ɧɛγ ¢ơɱ℘ιɛɬɛιყ."

Becca grinned.  "Then you should go tell her how you are failing to corrupt me."

EC growled.  "ı ¢ơγγų℘ɬɛɖ ƙıყą, ɧɛγ ιıɬɬιɛ ʂıʂɬɛγ ʄıɠųγɛ.  ı ¢ơγγų℘ɬɛɖ ąʂɧ, ɧɛγ ʄγıɛŋɖ ąცơ۷ɛ ʄγıɛŋɖʂ.  ı ¢ơγγų℘ɬɛɖ ʂ℘ąγƙ, ɧɛγ ʄıγʂɬ ɛ۷ɛγ щąɬɬ℘ąɖ ʄγıɛŋɖ.  щɧąɬ ɱąƙɛʂ ყơų ʂơ ʂ℘ɛ¢ıąι?"

"I'm not special. I'm just...me. And I am strong against evil people like you."

She paused, looking down for a moment before looking into EC's eyes.  "How is Cass physically...?"

EC smirked again.  "℘ɧყʂı¢ąιιყ?  ɧɛɧ, ιɛɬ'ʂ ʝųʂɬ ʂąყ ʂɧɛ'ʂ ცɛɛŋ ɱąγƙɛɖ ąʂ ɱıŋɛ.  ąʄɬɛγ ąιι, ʂɧɛ ცɛιơŋɠʂ ɬơ ɱɛ, ʂɛɛɱʂ ơŋιყ ʄąıγ ɬɧąɬ ı ɬγɛąɬ ɧɛγ ąʂ ℘γơ℘ɛγɬყ."

Becca grimaced at the word property.  "Do you have a plan to get Object or il or Liz?"

EC grinned.  "ɧɛɧ, ʂɧɛ ʂąıɖ ʂɧɛ'ɖ щıιιıŋɠιყ ʝơıŋ ąʄɬɛγ ı ¢ơγγų℘ɬɛɖ ıι ąŋɖ ყơų."

Becca growled.  "You'll NEVER corrupt me."

EC laughed a terrifying laugh.  "ɬɧąɬ'ʂ щɧąɬ ყơų ცɛιıɛ۷ɛ.  ʂơ ɖıɖ ɬɧɛყ.  ąŋɖ ιơơƙ щɧąɬ ɧą℘℘ɛŋɛɖ ɬơ ɬɧɛɱ."

"But I'm true to my word.  I'll never be corrupted."

"ɱɧɱ, щɧąɬɛ۷ɛγ. ı ɖơŋ'ɬ ŋɛɛɖ ơცʝɛ¢ɬ ąŋყщąყʂ, ı ɧą۷ɛ ɛŋơųɠɧ ℘ɛơ℘ιɛ ơŋ ɱყ ʂıɖɛ ɬɧąɬ ı ơųɬŋųɱცɛγ ყơų."

"Do you truly think you'll win this war?"

EC answered my question with a question.  "ɖơ ყơų ɬɧıŋƙ ყơų'ιι щıŋ?"

Becca glared at EC.  "You didn't answer the question."

EC grinned.  "ı ʂąıɖ ı щơųιɖ ąŋʂщɛγ զųɛʂɬıơŋʂ ɬγųɬɧʄųιιყ, ı ŋɛ۷ɛγ ʂąıɖ ı щơųιɖ ąŋʂщɛγ ąιι զųɛʂɬıơŋʂ."

Becca's eyes widened.  "W-What?"

"ɖıɖ ყơų γɛąιιყ ɬɧıŋƙ ı щơųιɖŋ'ɬ ცą¢ƙʂɬąც щɧơɛ۷ɛγ щơŋ?"

Becca sighed.  "In honesty, Dad warned me about that...."

"ɧɛɧ, ɧɛ щąʂ γıɠɧɬ. ŋơщ, ცą¢ƙ ɬơ ყơųγ զųɛʂɬıơŋ.  ყɛʂ, ı ƙŋơщ ı щıιι щıŋ.  ɛ۷ɛŋ ąʂ щɛ ʂ℘ɛąƙ ¢ąʂʂıą ɠγơщʂ щɛąƙɛγ."

Becca frowned sadly.  "Do you ever plan on killing her?"

EC rolled her eyes.  "ƙıιιıŋɠ ɧɛγ? щɧყ ɛ۷ɛγ щơųιɖ ı ɖơ ɬɧąɬ? ı ơŋιყ ¢ơγγų℘ɬɛɖ ɬɧơʂɛ ℘ɛơ℘ιɛ ცɛ¢ąųʂɛ ɬɧɛყ ɬɧıŋƙ ɬɧɛყ ɧą۷ɛ ą ¢ɧąŋ¢ɛ ʄγơɱ ʂą۷ıŋɠ ɧɛγ.  ı'ɱ ŋơɬ ɠơıŋɠ ɬơ γųıŋ ɬɧąɬ."

Becca pondered a bit then asked a question, fully expecting the answer.  "If you did corrupt all of us, what would you do?"

EC scoffed.  "ɬųɬ, ɬųɬ. ყơų ʂɧơųιɖ ƙŋơщ ცყ ŋơщ ı ɖơŋ'ɬ γɛ۷ɛąι ɱყ ℘ιąŋʂ."

Becca sighed.  "It was worth a shot."

EC rolled her eyes again.  "ɱɧɱ. ąŋყɬɧıŋɠ ɛιʂɛ?"

Becca crossed her arms.  "Yeah.  Just one.  Do you truly think you can corrupt me?"

EC grinned evilly again.  "ɱɧɱ, ŋơ. ɬɧɛγɛ'ʂ ŋơ ʄųŋ щıɬɧơųɬ ąŋơɬɧɛγ ʂıɖɛ, ąŋɖ ı ¢ąŋ'ɬ щąıɬ ɬơ ʂɛɛ ɬɧɛ ʄɛąγ ıŋ ყơųγ ɛყɛʂ ąʂ ყơų γɛąιıʑɛ ɱყ ℘ιąŋ ɬơ ɬąƙɛ ơ۷ɛγ."

Becca turned away.  "Hmph.  Ok.  We're done.  I'm done asking questions."

Becca could hear the grin in EC's voice at her next statement.  "ąγɛ ყơų ʂųγɛ?  щɛιι, ıʄ ყơų ɖơŋ'ɬ щąŋɬ ɬơ ʂɛɛ ¢ąʂʂıą, ყơų'γɛ ʄγɛɛ ɬơ ɠơ ɬɧɛŋ."

Becca quickly turned around, staring at EC.  "Wait.  You never said anything about seeing Cass."

"ყơų ɖıɖŋ'ɬ ąʂƙ ɬơ ʂɛɛ ɧɛγ, ąŋɖ ɬɧąɬ ¢ơųŋɬʂ ąʂ ą զųɛʂɬıơŋ, ɖơɛʂ ıɬ ŋơɬ?"

Becca looked down.  "I didn't know action questions counted...."

EC scoffed.  "щɛιι, ყơų ɖıɖŋ'ɬ ɬɧıŋƙ."

Becca ignored the comment.  "Can I see Cassia?"

EC stared me down for a moment.  "ɧɛɧ, ʂųγɛ. щơŋ'ɬ ɖơ ყơų ɱų¢ɧ ɠơơɖ."

EC left the room, the returned dragging Cassia's limp form, which she dropped in front of Becca. "ɧą۷ɛ ʄųŋ." Then, she left.

Becca bent down, gently shaking her shoulder. "Cassia!"

Cassia stirred slightly, a groan coming from her mouth. "Go away EC... " She mumbled.

"No, Cass, it's me, Becca!"

She pulled herself into a sitting position, and looked at her, her eyes glassy. "You expect me to believe that...?" she said weakly. "Me, who you've made illusions of my friends before that attack me, forcing me to kill them...?" she coughed weakly. "I won't fall for that again... "

"Cassia, ask me a question only Becca could answer."

She laughed, a hollow sound. "You'll never guess this one EC... " she gave her a weak wry grin. "What side was I chanting for in DRM...R?"

Becca grimaced. Curse her stupid forgetfulness! "Oh man, Cass, you're slaying me here. Where exactly in DRM...R?"

She grinned, a ghastly sight. "At the end of course, when you revealed you were the mastermind."

Becca chuckled. "You mean DRM...F the first, Cass. You wanted me to die."

The glassy look cleared from her eyes as she peered at Becca. "B-becca?" she asked, her tone still a little wary.

Becca hugged her friend. "Cass, it's ok, it's me."

Cassia went limp for a moment, stunned. Then, she collapsed into the hug and starting sobbing on Becca's shoulder. "B-becca I h-had to k-kill you s-so o-often." she whispered between sobs.

Becca cried a little inside, but she needed to stay strong.

"I-I'm s-so s-sorry..." she whispered.

"Don't worry about it, Cass. It was HER fault. Cass, things have been happening since you've been gone.... Not...good things. All of our friends except for il and Object and liz are joining EC. But I'm doing everything in my power to get them back. I'll never be corrupted. I'll always be searching for a way to save you."

Cassia looked up at Becca, tears still streaming. "Spark... And kiya... And ash... Left me... For her...?"

Becca sighed. "You know spark. She has a thing for being evil. Ash...she said she had a plan. Kiya also said she had a plan, but it seemed to have backfired...."

She looked down, her tears spilling over again. "So EC was right... My friends really don't care about me... " she whispered. Her sanity was fragile by now, and straining on the edge of breaking, this clear by the look in her eyes.

"No...we care. It's just...we have weird ways of showing it...."

"Becca... They all left... You're the only one left..." she said quietly.

Becca grimaced. She worried that telling her this was a bad idea, but it was better than EC telling her. "Oh Cass...I'll always be on your side. EC will never corrupt me. I'll defeat her and get all our friends back."

She looked up at Becca, the look in her eyes one of despair. "Becca... You can't kill her without killing me."

Becca sighed. "I figured since you're her "power source," as she likes to say. She even has the guts to call you her property in front of me. If...If I can just find a way to strengthen you, then...maybe we can stop her."

She shook her head. "That's not why..."

"What do you mean?"

Cassia bowed her head, tears falling again. "She is me, and I am her. Hurt one of us, the other gets the same... " a hopeless tone had crept into her voice by now. "She only grew stronger than me because she fed off my many fears... She's only scared of a few things... "

Becca perked up a bit. "Do you...know what they are?"

"She shares one fear with me... " Cassia said quietly. "We're both scared of having friends, because we've both been betrayed in the past."

Becca grimaced. "Maybe...maybe our friends that have plans can befriend her...?"

"Becca... " she looked up at her. "She thinks she doesn't need friends when she has minions, yet at the same time she craves friendship, as shown when she taunted Il."

"Then...if I can secretly contact our friends, we can get a plan together!"

Becca was starting to gain hope. Maybe, just maybe, they had the start of a plan to save her tortured friend.

She let out a small laugh, it sounding weak and hollow. "Becca, no one can beat EC... Not as long as I'm alive." She looked Becca in the eye, the desolation in her gaze replaced by determination. "You have to kill me to save our friends."

"CASS! Y-You know I can't! Not after all we've done to get to you! I can't!"

She placed a hand on Becca's shoulder, her gaze softening a bit. "What other choice do you have?" she asked simply.

"To...To find another way! To...beat EC weak enough to free you!"

"You think I haven't tried other ways...?" she asked quietly, her gaze searching Becca's.

"But...man, this is gonna sound mean, but I swear I'm not...since I have more free range, I have more options! There must be something I can do besides KILLING you!"

"I won't last much longer under EC... Why won't you put me out of my misery to save my friends...?" Cassia asked Becca, her gaze dropping to her lap.

Becca cursed in her head. "Oh Cass.... You're really putting me on the spot...."

"Becca... It's this or one other option, but I don't even know if the other option will work. " she said quietly.

"Please, give it to me. I REALLY don't want to kill you...."

Becca was starting to feel a little desperate at this point. Anything to NOT kill her friend.

Cassia sighed, she really didn't want to. "Authors have power within their own books.... Trap her in a book I have never been mentioned in or commented on, and she'll lose connection to me, dealing a blow to her powers." She said softly. "But... It's too risky."

"But...you know I'm an author! I can make a book specifically to be her prison and death room!"

"Becca... " Cassia raised her gaze to Becca's, looking her in the eye. "She can't be killed. Only weakened... "

Becca looked around, just to be sure no one else was here. "Ok, her weakening prison!"

The figure of a large, shadowy cat appeared in the distance, it's burning gaze fixed on Becca.

Cassia let out a weak laugh. "Becca, there's no guarantee it'll work. She'll still be connected to our friends unless I'm strong enough to break the bonds that bind them. "

No, no, I need more time with her!  Becca thought desperately.

"But I've said that our friends...." She paused, not wanting to risk EC hearing through the cat. "You know what I said. Just believe in us. If you can't believe in your friends anymore, then at least believe in me. Please?"

The cat hovered in place, stalking back and forth as if waiting on a signal.

"Becca... I can't even believe my own senses anymore... For all I know, this could be a dream I'm having because I'm so far gone..."

Becca gave Cass the slightest of pinches. Not to hurt much, but to feel. "You can't feel pain in dreams. This is real. I'm real. And I will find a way to save you."

The cat vanished, called away by some unheard signal.

Cassia winced, the pinch hurting her more than if she had been undamaged. "Becca... Look at me." she indicated her broken body, the slashes on her arms and legs evidently new. "I'm already hurt in this dream... "

Becca winced. That backfired slightly. "I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean...to actually hurt you like that...."

Cass gave her a small grin. "It's fine Becca... I'll wake up eventually... It'll be like none of this happened." The small threads holding her sanity had begun to snap, unable to hold up much longer. She was still sane, yet has short bouts of insanity, as shown by her grin and the far away look in her eyes.

"Cass...are you saying...we're all in a dream or something...?"

Becca was starting to wonder if Cass was ever going to be the same.

The look in her eyes faded as she refocused on Becca. "What...? Sorry..." She frowned. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she questioned, her bout of insanity over for now.

"Sorry, it's...nothing. How are you feeling?" Becca asked, wanting to get Cassia feeling a little better.

"Heh... A little sore and beat up, but nothing I can't handle." she said with a small smile, the presence of one of her friends helping her in small ways.

"I'm glad you're strong." Becca said, returning the smile.

"What about you?" she questioned, a little glimmer of life returning to her eyes. "This can't be easy on you."

Becca sighed. "It hasn't been, but thinking of you, of ways I can save you, has definitely kept me going."

"Heh, I'm a survivor. It'll take more than an alter ego of me to take me now." Cassia said with a smile.

"As long as you can hold out, I can hold out, and then I'll find a way. A way to save all of you. Even though you already did give a way.... How do I do that? Writing a book to imprison her?"

She looked around to make sure no /thing/ was around, then lowered her voice. "Yeah... That's the best shot we have."

Becca looked around as well, wondering if she was going to regret her next words. "And Cass...if...if this doesn't work...we'll go with Plan A...."

"Becca." Cassia laid a hand on Becca's knee. "It has to."

Becca's hope leapt tenfold. Cassia truly believed that her other option would work. "I'm sure it will. How do I write the book to imprison her?"

She frowned, trying to imagine what would work. "Well... Do you know what The White Room is?"

Becca winced. "I...I'm sorry, I don't."

"Hmm... " she tried to imagine another way to explain it. "Imagine a room, but it has magical properties that don't allow anyone to escape. You can go in, but you can't go out."

Becca's eyes widened. "Like in the movie Sky High with a high school of superheroes. The detention room was a white room that neutralized all the powers of the high schoolers that went in and only the principal could let them in or out!"

"Um... Kinda." she looked at Becca. "She still has powers in there, but she'll be cut off from me, her power source. "

"So...all I have to do is make a new book about a white room, and then...write that EC is in there? Or lure her there?"

"Lure her. Make her think you've given up on me, that you want to meet her there to join her side." She replied.

"Hmm...but after all I've said to her...."

Becca winced. "Cass, I'll have to wait at least a week before doing it, otherwise, she'll be suspicious and not come. How do I lock her in there?"

"Well... Create the storybook, I'll plant the 'bug' in her ear to meet you there. That's all that would work."

"I hope it will work. I have to wonder, why did the cat come in and then leave?"

Cassia looked surprised. "Cat?"

"The...The shadow cat came in to...take you, but it paced a bit and then left."

"Oh... That. EC probably sent it to scare you." Cassia looked around to make sure it hadn't come back. "That's odd though... When Il saw me, she didn't get this much time." Struck by a sudden idea, Cassia laughed. "I know why you've gotten longer".

"R-Really? Why?" Becca realized that she did seem to be with Cass longer than il did.

"Heh, she admires you for withstanding her for so long. She's curious about you." she said with a grin.

Becca grinned back. "I'm not that strong for withstanding her. I've had people tell me I'm strong for not changing who I am, but in reality, I'm terrible at being anyone other than myself. And myself doesn't want to join her."

Cassia shrugged. "Almost everyone else has something they want. Money, power, family, powers. You, you're happy how you are. That's why she can't touch you."

Becca's eyes widened. "So basically...I'm...invincible to her?"

"Well... Kind of." She said. "She can't harm anyone physically but me, and if she can't find something you want, she can't corrupt you."

"All I want is you to be back and free, but she can't provide that, or promise to provide that, without hurting herself."

She nodded. "I know. That's what makes you special."

"Ok, so I'm protected, but...there's still you. And honestly, I'm starting to worry about how much time I've had with you. What is EC doing?"

She shrugged. "Most likely preparing the training for her new slaves, aka, our friends."

Becca winced. "Well, what should we talk about now since we have a bit of time and we sorta have a plan?"

"Perfect the plan, we can't do anything with a half baked plan you know." She said gently.

"But how do we perfect the plan? I don't really know of a way to perfect it more even though I know I can be perfected...." Becca sighed.

"I am her and she is me." Cassia said, quoting what she had said earlier. "Explain what you plan on doing to her, and I'll tell you what she will and won't fall for."

"Ok.... I plan on beginning the book looking angrily defeated yet successful, if that makes sense. I'll call for EC, telling her that I've given up on you and you...." Becca paused, wincing. "...you aren't worth my time anymore.... Prior to that, I won't be speaking about you for that week so she'll think I'm serious."

"Hmm... " she thought about it a moment. "I think a week is too long. She'll get suspicious."

"So...3 days?"

She nodded. "That sounds about right, especially since she'll still be cocky about... " she winced as she said it. "... Enslaving the others."

"Ok. So...let's say she believes me and comes. What do I do then?"

"Hmm. Since you're the /admin/ in the book, you can leave while she's trapped." she frowned. "Well, in theory."

"So what, am I just like "HAHA YOU GOT TROLLED" and just leave her there?"

"I mean, how mean do you want to be to her?" she questioned.

Becca giggled. "I don't know.... I don't wanna be too cocky in case it doesn't work.... But she did kidnap you for...how long now? Like, a whole month so far?"

"Um... I honestly don't know..." she said quietly.

Becca looked at the doorway, silent for a moment. "I...I really want to go see where EC is, but I don't want to lose time with you...."

"Hey, I'll be OK Becca. Go, stop EC, OK?" she said.

"But...I...what would I do if I found her...?"

Cassia sighed. "Show signs of giving in, but be subtle."

The large cat reappeared, closer this time. A low growl rumbled across the room.

Becca jumped. "Oh man. There goes that plan."

Becca quickly whispered to Cass. "Quick, act like you're losing it and I'll look disgusted. Maybe she sees what the cat sees?  Or the cat relays?"

Cassia shook her head. "Knowing EC, after Uni takes me back to my..." she shuddered. "... My cage, EC will come back to taunt you."

The cat prowled closer, the rumbling growl growing louder.

Becca watched the cat, feeling fearful of it. "Cass, I'm glad to see you ok. I'm glad I got to speak with you. Just...hold on. Ok?"

Cassia stood up, then offered her hand to Becca. "You have a book to write, and I have a villain to distract. We'll see each other soon, OK?"

The cat padded up behind Cassia, its shadowy form constantly shifting.

Cassia embraced Becca for a brief moment, then turned to face the shadow cat. With the slightest of nods from her, the two set off. The cat padded along soundlessly, Cassia limping a bit. They vanished into the distance.

EC appeared in front of Becca. "ɧą۷ɛ ʄųŋ щıɬɧ ყơųγ ცγơƙɛŋ ʄγıɛŋɖ, ცɛ¢¢ą?"

Becca braced herself and put the plan into action. "I...what's happened to her...?"

"ʂɧɛ'ʂ ცγơƙɛŋ ყơų ɧąιʄ щıɬ. ı ɬơιɖ ყơų ɬɧɛγɛ щąʂ ŋơ ¢ɧąŋ¢ɛ ơʄ ʂą۷ıŋɠ ɧɛγ." EC replied with a sneer.

Becca grimaced. "Was all this...for nothing...?"

"ɖıɖ ყơų ŋơɬ ცɛιıɛ۷ɛ ɱɛ? ℘ơơγ ცɛ¢¢ą, ɖıʂ¢ơ۷ɛγɛɖ ɬɧɛ ɬγųɬɧ ąɬ ιąʂɬ." she said with a feral grin, stalking in a circle around Becca.

"This...This isn't happening...I'm losing my friends to you...Cass is...is pretty much gone.... No...."

EC stopped in front if Becca, her arms spread out in a 'look around you' gesture. "ơɧ, ცųɬ ıɬ ıʂ. ɬɧɛ ơɬɧɛγʂ ąιι ʂąщ ɬɧɛ ɬγųɬɧ, ąŋɖ ŋơщ ıɬ'ʂ ყơųγ ɬųγŋ ɬơ ʂɛɛ щɧąɬ ı'۷ɛ ɖơŋɛ."

"N-No.... I...this can't be happening...."

"ყơų'γɛ ცɛɠıŋŋıŋɠ ɬơ ʂơųŋɖ ιıƙɛ ą ცγơ℘ɛŋ γɛ¢ơγɖ. ɖıɖ ı ცγɛąƙ ყơų ąʂ щɛιι?" she scoffed.

Becca snapped and threw a punch at EC. "YOU'VE DESTROYED WHAT LITTLE I HAVE!"

EC didn't move fast enough and Becca's fist hit her square in the mouth, knocking her to the floor. She got up slowly, her split lip now bleeding. "ɧɛɧ, ɧɛɧ, ɧąɧąɧą!" she started laughing manically, the blood slowly trickling down her chin.

Becca came back to her senses, realizing what she had just done. She backed away from EC, looking terrified.

She grinned at Becca, showing her sharp teeth in a feral grin. "ŋơщ ɬɧąɬ'ʂ ɬɧɛ ʂ℘ıγıɬ!" she cackled. "ıɬ'ʂ ą ℘ıɬყ ¢ąʂʂıą ɖıɖŋ'ɬ ℘ųɬ ų℘ ąʂ ɱų¢ɧ ʄıɠɧɬ ąʂ ყơų."

Becca remained silent, staring fearfully at EC.

She smirked at Becca. "щɧąɬ, ɬơơ ʂ¢ąγɛɖ ŋơщ? ɬɧąɬ'ʂ ą ʂɧąɱɛ, ყơų'۷ɛ ɧąɖ ɬɧɛ ɱơʂɬ ʂ℘ųŋƙ ơųɬ ơʄ ąŋყơŋɛ ʂơ ʄąγ."

Becca clenched her fists, thinking of throwing another punch, but decided against it.

It might ruin the chance to gain EC's trust to come to the book....

EC tapped her chin thoughtfully. "ყơų ƙŋơщ, ყơų ʂɛɛɱɛɖ ɬơ ɧą۷ɛ ɖơŋɛ ¢ąʂʂıą ʂơɱɛ ɠơơɖ, ɱąყცɛ ყơų ʂɧơųιɖ ʝơıŋ ɧɛγ." she said gleefully, stalking toward Becca with a ball of black fire in one hand.

Becca glanced at the door at the other end of the room. If she could juke EC, she can escape to fight, and sorta beat EC, another day.

"In your dreams, psycho."

"℘ʂყ¢ɧơ? ɧɛɧ, ŋơ. ƙıɖŋą℘℘ɛγ, ყɛʂ." she flung the fire at Becca, for if it hit her she would be knocked out.

Becca's eyes widened and she ducked out of the way, narrowly avoiding the fire. She made a fast dash for the door.

She made it and reached for the doorknob.

"ყơų'γɛ զųı¢ƙɛγ ɬɧąŋ ყơų ιơơƙ, ცɛ¢¢ą!" she said, teleporting behind her again. "ცųɬ ıɬ'ʂ ɬıɱɛ ɬơ ʂąყ ŋıɠɧɬ ŋıɠɧɬ!" on her last word she released another ball of black fire, aimed directly at Becca's head.

"Yeah, night night!" Becca said angrily, ducking again and pulling open the door, running out.

The cackle of EC's laugh followed Becca down the long hallway, even as she stood in the doorway. "ყơų'ɖ ცɛɬɬɛγ γųŋ, ιıɬɬιɛ ɠıγι. ¢ąʂʂıą щıιι ʄɛɛι ɬɧɛ ʂąɱɛ ℘ąıŋ ıŋʄιı¢ɬɛɖ ơŋ ɱɛ, ąŋɖ ɱơγɛ ɖųɛ ɬơ ყơųγ ą¢ɬıơŋʂ!"

Becca quickly escaped the area, the laugh of EC following her even though it had faded away.

She had hurt Cassia.

And she had forgotten that hurting EC hurt Cassia.

She steeled herself.

All that was left to do now was wait.

Wait 3 whole, painstakingly slow days.

Then the plan can be put in action.

Until then, she had to refrain from lashing out at EC on Wattpad anymore.

That was going to be difficult....
