Woah....
So...country music isn't really my thing, but we listened to an interesting country song in the car.
Dad has always told me that country music tells stories, but...I've never really heard one 'til now.
So...there were 4 passengers in a bus on the way to Mexico.
A farmer, a teacher, a hooker, and a preacher.
The farmer was going on vacation and the teacher was looking for higher education. Both the hooker and the preacher were looking for lost souls.
The driver never paid any mind to the stop signs, and...you can't stop an 18-wheeler on a dime.
Basically, a bus crash!
Then, it talked about 3 wooden crosses and wondering why there wasn't 4, and I'm just like, "Oh, ok, so the driver doesn't count XD"
The farmer left behind a planted field over 80 acres to his son, the teacher left wisdom in the minds of the little children, and the preacher left.... Uh, I don't remember what the song said he left :P
Anyway, it goes on to show that a man was repeating this story, saying his preacher told this very story of the bus crash to the church on Sunday.
The preacher then pulled out a bloodstained Bible and said that his momma would read it to him every night.
o.o
My dad concluded that the dying preacher from the car crash gave his bible to the hooker, and the hooker read the Bible every day to keep her on the straight path.
Basically, the preacher who told the story was the son of that very same hooker, but the song never said anything about that. It had to be inferred.
Deeeeeeep~~
