Now, this tends to happen a lot, now when I mean a lot, I mean like it might as well be a giant box full of stfu. This mostly happens in one shots, and stories that seems to be written by younger authors. For those who don't know what "breaking the fourth wall" is, it's basically when the author of the book either makes the character talk about what they did at the end of the chapter and so, it's basically an interview. Then there's the in betweeners.

Now, this is where something happens in the story and the author intervenes with a small A/N, taunting the character whereas the character denies it. I'll give examples of both of them:

The Interview-

Author-chan: So there you have it guys, Duckbutt has a crush on (oc name).

SasuGAY: (blushes) I DO NOT!

Author-chan: *grabs happy from fairytail* he liiiiiiiiiikes her.

SasGAY: I'LL KILL YOU!

Author-chan: *Hides behind Naruto* He's trying to hurt me!

Naruto: Grrr! Stay away from author-chan!

Author-chan: This is why Naruto is my favorite! *sticks tongue at duckbutt*

SasGAY: Hn, whatever.

The in Betweeners-

Slutbag silently sat down on the grass with Sebastian as he served her the finest cup of bullshit. Sebastian looked into her crossed eyes will love. Slutbag blushes at him and looks away. Sebastian forces her to look at him, as he finally leaned in to reach the pootang. (A/N: AHHHHH! SEBASTIAN FINALLY DID IT! Sebastian: SHUT UP! Author: > 3>)

After those examples do you understand now? The amount of idiocy in that? It's fucking stupid lol not to mention is also kills the mood. Like why? Why do you guys do this? I try understand no understand.

Breaking the fourth wall literally has no benefits for your story, it just bugs me that people do this because 1. It's not cute 2. There's no reason for it and 3. It's annoying af. It's as if you shouldn't have written in the first place if you're just going to be annoying, I find it disgusting that people actually like that to lmao. I don't under-fucking-staaaaaand! Smh well, whatever, they do them while I do me, I'll keep it that way, but seriously, calm it down with the fourth wall shit.
