I'm about to go on a fucking rant on why being alt/punk conservatives is possible and I'm warning ya that I'm gonna be kinda aggressive but thats okay cuz all of you who disagree with me are aggressive as fuck when you talk about this

Reason #1

You can't be punk/alt if you're conservative cuz it's a culture deeply rooted in leftist views and you cannot separate the politics from the culture!

haha actually I'm not trying to separate the politics from the music and act like they don't exist. I fucking appreciate it, I find it interesting, I try to educate myself on them and try to figure out which parts I agree with and which one's I may not agree with but still understand why others do. I respect where this genre has originated from and I respect the people who have those beliefs. And when I don't agree with them I still enjoy listening to people who are passionate about them and incorporate them in their music.

Reason #2

You can't be a conservative punk/alt kid cuz our views are completely the opposite of yours?

Well guess what ash or whatever your name is MOST OF MY VIEWS ARE PRETTY FUCKING SIMILAR TO YOURS. I agree with a large majority of the politics that other punk/alt kids, bands, artists, and people do. If I didn't I wouldn't even try to associate myself with the culture, I wouldn't listen to the music, and I wouldn't dress how I dress.

Who said I wasn't? And who said the system is always conservative or right wing? Who decided that? DO you even have the authority to decide that? And if you did do you think I would give a fuck about your authority? NO I wouldn't cuz you're acting like leftist beliefs and governments are free of corruption and they are not.

I've always identified with the punk and alternative genre and culture because this was a way of being free, free from society's standards, free of my parent standards, it set me apart from others and made me feel like an individual, it was away of rebelling against my abusive father, it was a way of pissing of people cuz I'm not like them and I refuse to fit their perfect little mold. It was a way of finding acceptance and accepting others who have been through similar or worse things than me. This is freedom to me, it's a safe space, it's where I can unapologetically be me and teach others to unapologetically be themselves. In this culture, in this community, I have met the only people in my life who I can genuinely consider real friends. And all of you douchebags out there are trying to destroy this for me, whether you are doing it purposefully or not, I don't really know if you are, but there is NOTHING you can say to make me feel any less punk. The more and more you say it's impossible the more and more people will be out there ready to prove you wrong.
