Bad RWBY OCs
Now, everyone has their own criteria for a bad RWBY OC, but these are my own.
- Harems: Oh boy. This is the first trait that gives off that a character is a Mary Sue, now I have gone on a rant about harems before, and frankly, it's hard to do them right, unless your name is Monster Musume. Essentially, giving a character multiple characters to date can lead to lazy, or even bad writing when it comes to your character.
- Multiple Semblances/Overpowered Semblances/Abilities: Now these fall under the same category, because if done right, along with some good writing, your character can potentially be amazing. If done wrong, however, then these can be the lowest of the low. Like, giving your character the Infinity Gauntlet really makes me think you are out to make your character overpowered. Or if they have some overpowered split personality for example. Semblances can also fall under this category if you give someone a Semblance that can make them Saitama, or make them universe busting levels of powered.
- Mary Sue: I don't even need to explain this.
- Bland: If your character is so boring or not interesting, then I'm not gonna read your fucking story. It's that simple.
- Edgy Backstories: These characters...I've ranted about them before, my first rant, in fact, these characters can be so damn edgy. Edgier than a thirteen-year-old emo listening to LP while wearing MCR and Panic at the Disco merch, and that's a fucking accomplishment.
