"I don't understand if Draupadi knew that her whole lineage, her sons will die then why didn't she stopped the war"

A irritated a meglos fired his question at Tanirika who was busy stitching the royal flag. The needle pierced between the thread folds blocking two threads lines to meet, it created a new life for another thread who joined the family of the other two threads. She smirked a little lifting her gaze.

"Tani, I dont understand "

"Oh well, meglos because your brain function a little slow " She shrugged resuming her stitching.

Meglos snorted in dismay hitting his head in the pillow hard, he was lying on a different side of the hall on the ground while tanirika recited the popular ethnic stories to him. She was hitting at a distance from him on the wooden little chair sun rays hitting her beautiful face.

"Not you bullying me like everyone else. " He complained making her chuckle in rapture.

"Krishna told Draupadi that to save the world and start a new phase of love and respect sacrifices occur. To achieve dharma one has to undergo many examinations and lose many things even though you are right this is life's rule. "

"That was a little unfair dont you think? "

"Why do you say that?"

"Draupadi was molested in front of a whole court filled with exceptionally powerful warriors, she had five husbands, people always questioned her character but she lost everything on every step of her life why? "

Meglos asked Tanirika his face held an expression of sadness and curiosity.

"Mahabharata was the rough model of the future, A women will always need to protect herself, she had five husbands but none of them saved her. She saved her husbands by marrying them all and not breaking their mother's order but it was she who suffered as people called her names. It's always the woman who suffers in life the most, she brings life, marries a man, births a child carries out various tasks but her actions are more blamed than anyone else's. Draupadi was one of the strongest women to ever exist on this earth. The people who blame her are cowards who can't stand a strong woman. "

"I understand -"

Their little session of evening chat was interrupted by the attendee who announced the arrival of the royal priest in the royal palace temple.

"It's your time to pray, your majesty" Meglos sarcastically groaned. Tanirika smiled putting the royal flag properly in the box kept near her. She picked the box in her hands smiling at meglos.

"You won't pray at all meglos, someone needs to pray for you "

"Tell God to bless me two beautiful women for tonight," He said eyeing the lady entering the hall with four ladies following her.

"Women, food and wine dont you have some official work?" Meglos eyes never the woman movement who entered the hall to help Tanirika, lekha took the box from Tanirika's hands her eyes cast down on the ground.

"This was how I grew up Tani" He plainly answered playing with the pillow resting on his lap, his eyes still trailing every move of lekha. Lekha moved cautiously around the hall carrying her job as one pair of the eye followed her movements.

"I will take your leave now, I will pray that you get a smart woman who can fill some sense in your brain "

"Good luck with that " Tanirika shook her head turning around, walking outside of the hall. Lekha was adjusting the wooden stool in its proper place while two other maids cleaned the hall. An uncomfortable silence prevailed in the hall as sounds of her ankles and bangles metaphorically echoed inside the walls.

Meglos adjusted his body weight on one side staring shamelessly at her back. Lekha gulped inaudibly crouching down on the ground, picking the thread and needle material laid on the ground. She concentrated on her work, placing the material properly in the box. She got up getting satisfied with her work only to collide with someone standing so close to her.

Her eyes widened in realisation having meglos so closed to her petite form.

"Your majesty" She hurriedly cast her eyes down moving away from him. Meglos stood firmly in front of her staring at her scared form.

"What is your name? " Lekha fiddled with her fingers staring at the ground. Meglos snapped his hand in front of her gaze, making her step a little back again in fear.

"Le__Lekha " She whispered.

"Lekha, hmm" She stood like a little mouse caught in the cat's hold as he rounded himself around her examining her every heavenly detail.

"Your majesty, I need to go. The queen expects me in the temple " She whispered in fear. Meglos smirked standing behind her, he moved a little close to her, a comfortable yet heart-racing distance between them. Lekha inhaled in panic finding him so close to her.

"And what will you do in the temple? " He whispered in her ear. Lekha closed her eyes in fear, gripping her dupatta end tightly.

"I need to pray " she was barely audible when she replied to him out of respect. Meglos laughed pushing himself away from lekha, controlling his actions.

He walked closer to her, gripping her chin in his rough hands, he tilted her head higher making her face him. Well, her eyes were still focused down, her face void of any expressions.

Only she knew how hard it was to control her racing heart who was betraying her due to the proximity of a man. This was the first time her feminine frame was in contact with the opposite sex.

"Pray to God, that I dont remember you tomorrow. Or else you will forget that he exists " He whispered almost brushing his lips with hers. She stood frozen devoid of any emotion as he walked out of the hall.

Lekha fell on the floor once he left. She kept a hand on her racing heart calming her nerves down. She didn't understand what was he implying on but whatever it was she needed to stay away from him. He was on a higher rank and she was just a maid. He could use her easily and throw her away but she couldn't risk her virtue no! That was a sin!

Poor girl, she didn't know that the devil was already unleashed.

"I don't understand my queen, what is the reason for this appeal " Royal advisor achyut politely asked Tanirika who was sitting on one of the centre chairs of the meeting room. The advisor stood in front of her with an expression of worry on his face.

"It's my appeal, Royal advisor Achyut as a Queen it's my right I want you to forward it "She spoke calmly placing the letter in her hand into the wooden shelve. Royal advisor achyut inclined on his left uncomfortably thinking about the consequences of her decision.

" Half of the court won't agree my queen, The court declining the Queen's appeal will be an insult to you which is a bad thing, my queen "

"The court is filled with different men with different opinions, men bowing down to a woman on a single take is a very rare sight I agree but - " She stood up from her sit making the man standing in the room bow his head down on the ground.

She walked near the end of the table where he stood.

"Bow down in front of your Queen Royal advisor achyut " The man standing in front of her didnt think twice, his knees automatically folded down on her one command bowing down to his Queen.

"I am the Queen! Not any other woman. I can make the king bow then who are the other court men. " She ordered shooting daggers at him.

"I apologize my Queen "

"I respect you Royal advisor achyut and I understand why you are worried. But you should trust me. I want this for the betterment of the kingdom. Please stand "

"I understand my queen, I dont doubt your superiority, it's the evil and rusted mind of some men who sit on the seats of court. The court is divided into 11 seats but the final decision lies in the hands of the king. If you want a very old rule to be passed you should at least get 6 votes in your favour excluding the kings. You have mine, two others I can guarantee but some are very cunning. "

Tanirika stared at the wind blowing down the trees outside the window. The royal advisor explained to her every fine detail of the court and every man who sat with power on their arms.

"Foxes are cunning, elephants are strong but the Lioness is the one who sits on the throne. The subjects will always be the subjects I was born for the throne and it's my right to sit on it and pass the judgment and I will. A group of 11 people sitting down to my throne will have no power to cross my decision. This should be evoked again to make sure that the queen doesn't sit inside her chambers looking pretty and producing heirs but to also rule. This is not a treaty or piece of paper it's my right and I will acquire it. "

She snapped at him picking the paper from the table and walking outside the hall.

"As per the procedure, I have informed the royal advisor now he should arrange a special private meeting with the court members and the king. Tell them the Queen has summoned them. "

Tanirika walked out of the meeting room with a bunch of emotions messing her mind. Everyone wanted to get on her nerves, the thing was pretty simple she wanted to evoke the ancient law which was rightfully made for the Queen what was wrong with that. Oh yes, the male ego was creating a hindrance.

After talking to Master junious, her mind was never at peace she didnt knows what he wanted to tell her but one clear thing was she needed to act up. People should not suffer because of her. There was a reason why she was the Queen. If her being in power made her vulnerable then what was the reason for the power. That power was useless. She didn't want to look pretty and sit in her chambers.

Someone dared to step into her territory and threaten her. No one ever dared to cross her and today few people were breathing the same air around her who desired to kill her and end her reign. Well, they were wrong she won't allow ending her dynasty so soon after being trained and grown up her whole life for one motive to be the Queen.

Deha was the scapegoat who got in the middle of something which was laid for her, The queen and the future heir. Someone wanted to kill the hope of the kingdom who dreamed to see a future heir. Tanirika gasped in anger walking deeper into the apple orchards trying to calm her anger down. She would have let it slide away but someone blocking her womb by black magic, to make sure that she didn't birth the king's child and heir made her blood boil. No one could kill something which was one of her parts. No! Her heart ached thinking about the consequences of the act if it would have been successful.

She would have never been able to bear a child. The thought of someone killing her child angered her so much. Killing the hope of the future was the first step laid in the path of the destruction of a kingdom. Someone was playing a very wicked game thinking they could make Zravasaya fall by hurting her and something precious to both of them. She understood the meaning of her husband waiting for a child, right now they were surrounded by many enemies bringing a child in between of a trap would be a self-killing set-up for their child. She would rather wait for years to bring them into this world filled with vultures.

No one would suffer like that, no other person will go through the same. It was time she acted smartly and she was going to do the same. The process of blocking the womb was evil and recorded. When a woman would come out of her period phase after washing her hair under the moonlight, the ritual of carried out to block her fertility and make her barren for the rest of her life.

She was going to make sure that everyone knew who she was. She was a woman but the strongest one alive and she was going to show it by taking the first step starting The Queen's court.
