Hard Love [Pokemon]
+...The cover does NOT belong to me...+
Soul1Shooter had wanted to mention that this book is "based in Kanto in a school."
This book is completed.
*Spoilers Ahead*
Summary: A young Umbreon named Eclipse is distant from the other Pokemon that attend his school. It's always been that way, well, except when he met Light, a very happy and (somewhat) energetic Espeon.
When our main character seems to have some type of feelings for the Psychic type, things start to get very dramatic. And get very edgy.
Alright, now onto the review portion!
Unfortunately, grammar is a common issue in this book. With what you have in this book, it's pretty easy to fall behind on what exactly is happening. For instance, the stories characters blend together so much, it's hard to tell the other apart. The only real thing that kept me from hitting my head into a brick wall was there was some originality to this story...
Not enough to disprove everything else, but enough that I didn't get a brain bleed.
When writing your paragraphs, you need to add more detail to absolutely everything. No if's, and's, or but's about it... And by detail, I don't mean by explaining things by jumping narratives. You often tend to add your own opinion into the story, even though that should be the purpose of the characters. They are the ones living/breathing the story. They should be the ones who are narrating everything happening.
Also, with your paragraphs, the chapters are extremely short. You, often times, could combine a few chapters at a time and make this book between 5 and 9 chapters instead of the 15 you currently have. That can be fixed by adding in descriptive details about character designs, settings, character moods, problems, etc. Anything that can add more descriptive detail would be fine, as long as it isn't something like: "The Espeon's pink fur was soft."
Give your story some life with enhanced vocabulary. If needed, look at an online dictionary or an actual book dictionary to find better words than what you're using. It helps a lot in the long run.
I found this re-occurring problem thorough your book in numerous spots--major punctuation errors. To make this simple, you need to add them... Periods (when they're needed), commas (when they're needed), exclamation points (when they're needed), question marks (when they're needed), etc.
Onward with the characters!
When a book introduces a character into the plot line, they hope and, literally, beg the universe that the character proves to be an independent character that is a great impact to the story. Unfortunately, I never saw that when reading this story. Whenever you brought up a character in this story, you often lead the character to somehow screw up the plot line. They have no originality from each other. AKA: When reading, you feel that these characters are the same character. Just a bipolar example of what a character is.
I had taken notice that you had written down that you were struggling while writing this story. You relied on the audience/readers to lend them a character or two for the story to continue.
Listen. And listen well.
When writing a story, you need to know what will come next. Write down several options as to where you want the story to go next. Don't just leave yourself down a path you can't get out of. Find something that will benefit you without the need of addressing the readers for help. It is great that you want to get tips and ideas from the audience, but you don't need them planning your story for you, if you know what I mean.
Overall, this book needs a lot of work. Before even considering a sequel/prequel/whatever.
When you are able to completely work on changing the tips I made above, then you can consider writing the next book.
Even when you are writing any other story, plan out what you would like to write about. Don't just dive into it without knowing what you want and what could happen with the plot line.
Your mind changes quickly, so don't blindside yourself when it decides to write something down on Wattpad, let alone anywhere.
It will help you in the long run. Trust me on this.
