Okay, well, my sister and I just got a Wii U, and the new SSB. Well, for the 50th chapter, I wanna do my first official rant. Woohoo, cheering squad.

Well, my FAVORITE character from both Smash Bros. and Kid Icarus is Dark Pit. Don't hate. Although, you might've guessed from the new cover. Yeah, well, moving on.

A lot of people may like him, but people say that he's just a rip off of Zelda's Dark Link. Well, if that's the case, then why don't I like Dark Link? I'm one who usually roots for the villains, so why aren't I fangirling over him? Well, there is a BIG difference.

First off: I was introduced to both series through Smash Bros. The thing is, I didn't really play as any character from either series when I played Brawl at a friend's house. I always played as Samus, Kirby, or Snake. (I didn't get to play there very much). Well, I got the game and loaded it up. First things first, I didn't have a second controller. So I sit mah butt down when my sister is tired of seeing me test Robin, I tried Link.

Me: *flippa floop, looking for a nice color on link*

Link: *color color color HEY LOOK IM DARK LINK*

Me: OOH COOL *plays, ironically, against Zelda*

Game: yo whattup you be getting a new character PLAY!

Me: *pokemon style* Who's that character?

Game: HAHAHA look!

Me: *gasp* it's... DARK PIT!

Me: *loses and yells for my sister(Kitty) to beat him for me*

Kitty: *walks in and chooses Wii Fit Trainer* fine... But I'm not playing as him.

Me: wow, you beat him!

Kitty: there, take your evil angel boy *leaves*

Well, that is basically how I got Dark Pit. Well, he and D. Link didn't hold the same status. D. Link was just a color. Same taunts, final smashes, and victory clips. D. Pit, on the other hand, is different. He has his own taunts, victory lines, and a final smash. He isn't the exact same as Pit.

Game wise, he is also SOO much more interesting and complex than Dark Link. Sorry, but LoZ fans: a question:

When was the last time that Dark Link burst out of a mirror, insulted his counterpart, and, y'know... KEPT SOME COLOR SIMILARITIES!?

Dark Pit isn't COMPLETELY inverted. Same figure and skin color(not racist) while keeping different hair, clothing and a new voice.

Well, that was probably a stupid rant.
