Yeah, idk why, but I am having a bit of anxiety over posting this on here
{ Posting it on Instagram was so much easier } but I will just be posting what I had said on my Instagram

My first edit ever! This is for the contest (on Avakin Life) , but I first wanted to post this of what I created and explain.

The only thing I did not draw was the tail, since right now, I do not have time to draw that tail. And the top, which I just took a picture of my Avakin wearing it in the store since I can't afford it.

The hair, took a lot of blending three difference colors of purple, and not to mention a lot of erasing off the skin part.

I first started with the lips, which I am pretty proud of them, but it took a lot time tp get them perfect.

The eyes I already had drawn from another oc, and I use added them to the picture since I adore the eyes I had made. It was so beautiful and took hours.

I did do some highlighting on the face, not much since I am still trying to get use to the whole editing thing.

I added a light dusting of freckles on her nose and cheeks, since I myself have freckles on my nose and cheeks.

The shape of the eyes and eyelashes were the worst thing to draw, I tell you, it was so tedious and not to mention how many times I had to go back.

The nails were easy and didn't even take three minutes, they are two toned, neon purple and neon teal, to match the whole look.

Yeah, that, this, is my very first edit ever! I am actually quite proud of it. But always nervous since I have never done such a thing and seeing everyone else's entries into the contest, really doesn't help your confidence at all. Especially when you have zero to begin with.
So yeah, first edit, not the last, but the others I will take more time on than just spending all my morning working on this.

My entry into the contest cor the #avakinunderthesea2018 ! It is inspired by the scene in Barbie: The Pearl Princess where Lumina and her sea horse friend Kuda (in the picture) venture away from their home to return a letter to her Aunt Scylla. She had to journey through the thick seaweed, ending up befriending a poisonous fish along the way.

So yeah, my very first edit and drawing digitally. I know it's not the best, but I tried, and it being my first time I think its good, but not as great compared to everyone else who is so talented at drawings, as I am talented at nothing.
