The bar scene
If you haven't already seen the blurb on my gay disney prince book, read it before you read this. I recommend it. I'm putting the super long and complicated bar scene here so when I get to it in my book, I can easily simplify this into an easy chapter. First, character list (they're names are different so not right away will people know who they are).
- Phil is Prince Philip
- Eric is Prince Eric
- Claude is Frollo
- Nav is Naveen
- John is John Rolfe
- Smithy is John Smith
- Mer is Merlin
- Kris is Kristoff
- Fitz is Eugene
- Hot head is Merida
- Icy is Elsa
- Ferd is Ferdinand (Snow White's prince)
- Charm is Charming
- Jaz is Jasmine
And Tia is Tiana.
Oh and do remember everyone's gay so don't like it, don't read it. On with the scene!
Philip opens the door.
"Friends, I bring someone to join our group. Now, don't be foolish when he enters."
I hear mumbles of approval. Philip takes my arm and walks me inside the bar. Two men sit at a table, another two stand at the wall on the far left, one sits at the bar and another behind the bar. The men give me a clap but don't make my appearance foolish. Philip and I sit at the bar.
"This is Claude, the bar man and manager. Sitting next to you's Smithy. Those two are Nav and John and the other two are Kri and Fitz," Philip explains, pointing to everyone as he says their names.
"What will it be, gentlemen?" Claude asks.
"I'll have some ale myself," Philip answers then turns to me.
"What drinks do they give you up there?"
"Red wine and that's it. Not allowed to have beer or anything like that," I reply.
"Get him want he wants. Don't want him to go over it."
Claude gives Philip his ale and me, my wine.
"Where are we?" I whisper.
"In the most hidden bar in the kingdom. A gay bar to be exact," my friend whispers back.
I feel my face go hot for a moment but it cools down quickly.
"Who's upstairs?" Philip asks.
"Icy and Hot head, as always. However, they're not the only ones up there tonight. Charm and Ferd took a key-"
"They're upstairs? Wow! I didn't think they were ready," Philip replies.
"Aye, I thought too. We all did. Surprised when Charm asked Claude for a key," Smithy says, sipping his ale, maybe beer (I can't tell the difference).
"Jaz is up there too," Claude continues.
"Your baby girl's up there? I don't believe it. Who's she with?"
"Tia, Naveen's cousin. We had a private talk when she asked for the key. Said she was ready so I let her. I've been praying everything goes all right," the bar man replies.
"Is it always like this? Always deserted?" I ask.
"Yes sirree. Only us 9 lads, 10 now you're here, and the 2 sheilas, now 4 with Jaz and Tia. Jaz sometimes is downstairs, talking with the lads. Rare cause she doesn't like to be the only girl downstairs. Most of the time she doesn't come here at all. Stays home with Mer and Arthur."
"Are Jaz, Arthur and Mer related to you, Claude?" I ask.
"They're my family. Mer's my husband, Arthur my son and Jaz is my daughter. Oh and Arthur ain't gay but we support him. Starting to fancy a gypsie girl who's name I forget," Claude replies.
"Why is it so deserted?"
Claude sighs.
"50 years ago, this bar was the busiest. Girls and boys were equal in numbers and us gays could come together. Gothel was a real friend to me, smart in helping people with relationships, gay or not. She was with Elanor at the time. One day, Gaston, a hunter, found the pub and realised it was a gay bar. At the time, stuff like that was forbidden and still is now. He told the king, your father, and immediately attacked, killing everyone in it. Mer and I were on an evening stroll and when we came to the bar, I saw a soldier carelessly chuck Gothel's lifeless body. It made me angry and hurt. Mer made an agreement that he would bury the dead with the king so the two of us gave them all a proper burial. I took ownership of the bar and refurbished it, making it look different. I kept the name, The Fine Horse, and we kept the news around town for other known gays. It took five years till Smithy came and soon more people came. I still always dedicate a toast for the club to Gothel. She was the best."
"I'm sorry," I reply.
The bar man chuckles.
"Don't be. Your probably wondering why there aren't as many girl, right?"
I nod.
"Well, when the hottest man in town talks to the ladies, they fall head over heels. But when that man turns out to be gay, they stop trying. Few girls don't like the hottest man in town and that's where we get gay girls. Ask Icy and Fitz. Fitz for a long time was the hottest guy in town. Icy ignored him as if he didn't exist. If he ever did talk to her, she'd make some smart comment about talking to his fan club instead of her. Then Fitz turned out to be gay, which made Icy breathe as sigh of relief. A lot of girls fall for the hottest man so it's rare for gay girls to step out," Claude replies.
As Claude gets Fitz a drink, I whisper to Philip.
"Why did you take me here?"
"I doubted you'd ever have an experience like this if I didn't step in so I did. Besides, I thought you could get used to this all if a relationship of yours stepped up." (hint hint, sly Philip very sly)
"What relationship? You and me?"
"Yep, that's what I'm talking about," Philip replies, giving my cheek a small peck.
I blush. Seems I was right.
Too many words! This took my forever to write! So this is my book of randomness, brought to you by me! Don't think I know what the next part of this book is cause I literally have no idea. But somewhere in the near future, I will do something with Assassin's creed. Love you. Bye!
