I've seen a different part of the world

I figured out my identity
Who I may be
The songs I listen to today
My favourite books and hobbies

Don't let this define you
It's an obstacle you need to do
Something about

Jump, swim, walk, shout
Run if that's what it's all about
Just don't isolate yourself
And bottle it up

Don't keep on lying
Or hiding in your room crying
Speak up for once
And maybe things will change

I want things to change
I want to push away this rain
I want the sun to come out again
But what I see is a rainbow
Bright colours illuminating
As they light up what I'm facing

I don't know what this is? I originally intended it to be sort of like a song (because today I got out my ukulele and played it a little since I barely play it anymore) but it ended up more like a poem... oh well. I hope you enjoyed it!
