What am I?
I am a woman

Why am I?
I am the balance

Being a human
And a female species
There is something more to me

I have a soul
That is my core
I have conscience
To tell me my role

Appearances, color, caste, and creed
Don't know why it matters
For the whole of my kind
When I can bear life.

You want to own me
But not love me
You want to abuse me
And not free me

A mother, sister, wife
You see me in different roles
But why do you forget
That I am an entity

I feed you, then why abuse me?
I protect you, then why cage me?
I am your dreams, then why lust after me?
I am your past, present, and future, then why destroy me?

Don't judge my tears of compassion
They are not my weakness
My physical power is incomparable
Pain is my strength

I am a double-edged sword
Love and hate alike
I can rise like a Phoenix
From the ashes to be your doom

I am nature
I am a woman.

But you must not forget
I am here for a reason
And not to be trampled upon
