Nothing in life prepares you for the eventualities to come. You have to face it on 'as it comes' basis. The irony of the situation is that you are left fazed at its encounter time and again, even after claiming highly at how competently you are living your life to counter any harships.

Is life really about securing our future? That future which is yet never defined or shaped. We toil in the present, regret and complain about the past and look forward to a miracle in the future. So is life really about securing the future when you are losing your present with aggression and depression.

Yes, one would answer with defiance. How do you bring up your children? What about old age pension?

It all sums up to MONEY that has hypnotizingly enslaved mankind. It's ability to empower you, besides providing a false sense of security, has had man blindly worship it.

What about relationships? Don't you want to secure that? Yes, that is why we are toiling away, one would counter argue.

But does money secure relationships? Money can buy only physically security, but it is never the same for relationships.

How does a relationship survive the tough trial and tribulations that life puts forth? Can money act as that bond? Honestly speaking it is one of the reasons directly or indirectly for a rift in the relationship.

The greatest catalyst in binding a relationship is not money but TIME. It is the most valuable gift one human can give another human.

This 'time' is not only taken for granted but always comes after MONEY in the priority list. And as life progresses this time that binds a relationship deteriorates and finally two people drift apart, maybe not in a physical sense but mentally for sure.

Then how can one guard against this wear and tear in our bonds. I would say do not take your close ones for granted and never slacken your time and love for them even for money. Because money is never there to hold your hand when you are lonely.

The challenge in today's world is to balance both time and money. But in the present individualistic system, where both men and women search for their own separate identities, relationships are tied for either business or for convenience. Love is sadly lost against the euphoria that money brings.
