I lay my head on her lap
So comforting and soothing
The breeze ruffled my hair
I smiled, when it cooed in my ears

The sun shined in all its glory
But my eyes didn't blink
Nor my cold body felt it's heat
But there was warmth in her touch

The air was stale and dusty
Chaos reined everywhere
The battle was near it's end
But I was now safe

I did her proud
With my blood I avenged her
She was free once again
I did my duty as a son

Now she welcomed me
With open arms
Back to her womb
Where I lay to rest in eternal peace
