Thoughts

Okay, I've been wanting to make a chapter about this for a while. I never really knew the right way to phrase it but I think I finally got it.

So as y'all probably know, I'm a Christian. We're normally seen as completely homophobic and biased people who shove our faith onto others. That's because those supposed Christians are the ones we see most represented in videos and media.

However, like with everything else, not everyone is the same. I don't 100% agree with homosexuality because of how I was raised, but I will in no way hate you for it. I understand that people actually are born like that.

In my church's student ministry, there are three colors used to represent it. Red, Yellow, and Orange.

Red for the love of Christ.

Yellow for the light of truth (Bible).

Orange for giving the love and light to the lost.

The first one is about sharing the love that Christ had for us, even though we don't deserve it. THAT should be the most important thing Christians should focus on: loving others and treating them with respect.

Heck, remember the golden rule? Treat others the way you want to be treated? Even if you don't agree with other people's life choices and especially things they can't control, that is no reason to hate on them and make them feel less than.

So, in short, I don't 100% agree with homosexuality but I will in no way hate you for it if I know you are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

If only everyone could just respect and understand each other, even if we don't agree. This world would be so much better if it were like that.

Even though I have mixed feelings on the subject, feel free to wave your flag, whatever it may be 🏳️‍🌈
