I randomly remembered a writing prompt, so I thought, Why not do it?

Prompt: Write a short story that has a fun and cheerful line at the beginning. End it with the same line, but it now has a dark meaning.

LGBT people because why not. (And it's pride month)

"I won't ever leave you," she said.
"Neither will I," they responded.
That was a year ago.
They fought.
They broke up.
They went their separate ways.
She joined an association.
They joined a regular business.
She was given an assignment.
Track down them, bring them here.
They tried to run.
They tried to hide.
She was driving the taxi.
They didn't noticed until it was too late.
She knocked them out.
She brought them to the place.
They woke up.
"I won't ever leave you," she said.

Please excuse the odd writing style. I do really like how this turned out. :p
