Writer's Tag Challenge
Poetic form or writing books?
Both. I mainly post books here, and that's primarily what I work on, but I also love poetry.
Long chapters or short?
I don't really have a preference either way, unless by 'short' we're talking one of those four-or-five-hundred-word chapters. Whenever people ask me if they should lengthen/shorten a chapter, I always say it should be whatever length feels right. If all information is gotten across and you're happy with a 1500 word chapter, then rock that 1500 word chapter. If you want to write out that same information using four or five thousand words, that's cool too as long as it's engaging.
Three facts about your writing?
My 2050 series is based upon a dream I had during my sophomore year of high school. The general plotline of that dream is now the second chapter of 2050: The Beginning of the End, and most of the storyline somehow managed to evolve from that idea. The title of my work in progress, The Distance, actually came from the title of my favorite Grey's Anatomy episode. The storyline of my book has absolutely nothing to do with the plotline of season eleven, episode fourteen's plot, but that still managed to happen. Also, I actually really enjoy writing poetry. I don't think I've ever really posted much here, but I write a lot of it off Wattpad.
Favorite genre to read?
Science fiction, action, or adventure.
Least favorite cliche?
The evil blonde cheerleader. A lot of stereotypes about cheerleaders are also ones that I've seen in real life, but this one's not necessarily one. I knew plenty of cheerleaders in high school, and some were both blonde and incredibly nice.
