How I Write My Books So Fast
This is, go figure, not edited.
~~~~~~
I've been asked the same question several times lately, especially with how quickly I was able to post/update School of Secrets.
'How do you write books so fast?'
The real and truthful answer? I don't write them fast.
I usually have a story/series plot sort of figured out about four or five months before I actually start posting it. Once I have the big picture, I try to focus on other smaller aspects of what I'm expecting to go on.
I did this with School of Secrets especially, because I've had the idea for it since around June.
I had the idea for Amber's death as well as the nature of the ritual in chapters 24-26 from near the beginning, as well as the abilities I planned to assign to the majority of the MCs.
However, I didn't plan the events surrounding Tim's sister until a bit later on in the writing process, around the point when I was posting Chapter 5 or 6 on here.
It looks as though I'm writing the story at a pretty decent clip, when in reality I'm merely writing the chapters of the story. All the planning, all the hardest work of the process, has taken me at least a couple months beforehand. While the actual chapters tend to be easy for me to write once I've outlined my storyline, the true "story" and it's plot takes a lot longer and, in the long run, much more consideration.
If anybody has another topic/question they'd like me to cover, send me a message. This book's not really that much of a priority, but if someone wants to know something I can get around to elaborating on that pretty quick.
