Coronavirus Test

Nowadays, as we try to get back to some semblance of normalcy, a lot of people are undergoing mandatory Coronavirus testing. I've heard several perspectives on what this feels like; some people say it's horrible, and others say it's not bad at all.

My college is requiring that its students get tested, and I figured that I would share my experience in case any of my followers are apprehensive about mandatory testing.

How long did it take?

For me, the actual test took about ten seconds. I didn't have to administer the test myself, though I know in some places this is an option. The person who completed my test swabbed both sides of my nose for five seconds each.

Was it painful?

For me, no. I've had a flu test done in a similar way, and honestly this test hurt less than the one I had done for the flu a few years ago. I've had people tell me to breathe in through my nose when the test begins, so I'm not sure if it's more painful for anyone who doesn't do so. Still, I didn't find it bad at all.

How long did my results take to come in?

I was told I would get them in seventy-two hours, but I was tested on August seventh and didn't get my result until I called on the thirteenth. My official results were emailed to me on the fourteenth, and I got confirmation that I was negative for the virus.
