✨The journey part 2 - The Arcana
You've been much to the palace the following months and grown close to the Countess and her handmaiden. You've also met a man who supposedly is guilty of killing the Count. You don't know about that, but it is cautious around him. of course, having a giant black cape primarily dressed in black isn't something you connect with a trusted person. Asra has gone off on one of his mysterious adventures, as always. He had taught you some magic even tho you knew brassily. Being the elf you are, magic flows naturally in your veins. that is why maybe you've been promoted by the Countess to be one of the primary searches of this case.
You hadn't told Nadia as the Countess want you to call her that you've met Julian. Not yet. You don't believe he's entirely guilty yet. So now you're walking around in the gardens of the palace, letting your slender fingers stroke each flower and leaf you touch. A few animals, such as deers, peer out from their branches and sometimes come to see who you are but leave soon enough after getting pets. Faust isn't with asra this time, so she's been keeping you company. "ah Y/n!" Portia, the countess handmaiden, calls out to you, and you turn around to face her with a radiant smile, much like her own.
"ah, Ms. Portia. What brings you to the gardens?" you ask gently, walking over to her and greeting her with a quick hug. "milady wanted me to get something from the market, so I'm just taking a shortcut." she answered and smiled at you. You nodded and went on your way after bidding goodbye to Portia. Faust suddenly appears out of nowhere, startling you. "oh! Oh, you!" you examine and stroke her soft head. She flicks her tongue, and a slight rumble vibrates her body. It's as if she's laughing. You smile, shaking your head, and let her slide over your shoulders and wrap herself around you. "let's see what I will stumble on today," you say, stroking her one last time before walking on.
"Y/n?" Julian's familiar voice caught your pointed ears, and you whip your head to the side to see him lurking in the shadows of a tree. That's an unusual place to see him. he is usually in the town. "hey Julian. What are you doing here? This ain't a safe place for someone like you, is it?" you say, a brow raised as you stride over to the taller man. Your white blonde hair caught the silent breeze and floated behind you, making it glimmer. You're wearing a circlet, something those elves of royals do. Yes, you're a royal but don't like talking about it. Julia's cheeks flare up, making you tilt your head ever so lightly. "i.. uh" words seem caught in his throat, and he avoids your pricing gaze. Silence looms over you for a while before you turn and starts to hum softly, stroking Faust, who slithered down on your arms, holding tight as you bend down to pick a flower. Julian watches you with interest as you continue to stroke the feeble flowers that sway your touch.
You then speak up, your voice soft. "it's good to see you, though." you don't look up to meet his gaze, not needing to see or feel his body temp rise. Instead, you smile and stand up, Faust curling around your shoulders. "I must leave, find yourself a safe passage," you say and leave him there, speechless. You find your way back to your shop, not having any palace duties for the day. But you then suddenly meet a shadowy person with a cloak covering most of his face. You say nothing, your pricing blue eyes finding his in the nick of a minute before he goes on. You shrug.
Soon enough, you're inside your shop and lets Faust down on a wooden table. You take a canvas and start to use the fowlers you picked as inspiration for a bit of portrait. About 5 in the evening do you finish and smile proudly. Faust tilts her head as she rises slightly from her slumber. Flicking her tongue over the portrait, she goes back to sleep. You pet her and stand up, heading over to a place to set up the bail pice of art.; you soon find a naked part of the wall and snap with your fingers; a nail embeds itself in the wooden fence. Hanging up your portrait, you admire it for a while before leaving it. "come, Faust, we can go a little around," you say, lifting your bag over your shoulder and offering a hand out to Faust, who quickly sloths up and curls around your shoulders. You then leave the shop on the eve of the night. Wandering the city at this time can be beautiful. None who plague your mind, you just let your feet take you wherever you want.
What you don't know is that you would be meeting someone for the second time today, and it would turn out different than you first expected.

A fine end, right? anyway, I hope you like it:)
