Heavy footsteps caught in the falling snow, and a clawed foot sat down. The beast paused and sniffed in the cold, thin air. Eyes of vibrant green darted in the snowflakes, searching. In the end, her ears could pick up the sound of voices. Huffing, she set off again, ensuring she didn't slip and fall off the ridge. The elf of the group of abnormal people had heard the beast and was weary-looking around as fast as his blue eyes could.
"Do you see anything, Legolas?" A dark brown hair and grey irises asked the blonde-haired elf as he trailed behind with a hobbit close to his chest. The said elf looked around forward, but he then heard that the sound of footsteps came from behind, and he swirled around, meeting two emerald orbs. His own widened, and he whispered to his friends, "don't move," and so the fellowship froze, turning slowly behind to stare right into the glowing pools of green.
A hot breath fanned across their faces as the beast sneered softly, enough to make itself known. Then it turned visible, a scaly body showing behind the two eyes of green. A dinosaur it was. The ones of the fellowship who hadn't heard the tale of the fallen kingdom or about where you could live freely and never worry bout a thing stared at the reptile as she opened her mouth and rows of razor-sharp teeth and a sharp tongue came to view.
"What are people of your kinds doing in the blizzard of Cahadraas?" A deep feminine voice said, sending shivers through the fellowship. The gray wizard, Gandalf, was the first to speak up to this beast. "We're looking for a way over the mountain. We have a business on the other side," he said, explaining their goal briefly but careful not to spill too much bout their journeys plan. A puff of hot air wafted across their faces once again, and the t-Rex had turned her side to them and was crouching down.
The fellowship stared baffled at the giant reptile, who sighed and her tail lashed inpatient. "Get on my back if you value your life," she said harshly, and the fellowship didn't waste another minute and clambered onto the dinosaur's scaly back. "Hold on," the female said, and she rose. Then they walk down the mountain starts with a new and impossible partner. But it seems the Valar had given them this opportunity to befriend the giant reptile.

Before late, the group reached the walls of moria. The beast crouched down so the fellowship could jump off. after they all were gone of her back, she rose and made for another road. but the voice of the hobbits stopped her in her tracks. "wait, miss?!" It was the ring bearer. His sweet voice she could listen to everywhere. With a heavy sigh, the giant t-rex turned around to face the four hobbits who had come to her feet. "won't you stay for the night?" a ginger-haired one asked. Emerald sighed and shook her giant head. "I can't, young ones. This is not my place," she answered softly, her tail pointing downwards, a sigh that she was sad. fordo and his friends looked at each other, then nodded. "You can stay with us. We always have a place for one more in our fellowship," Frodo said, smiling a little.
Emerald locked eyes with him; her emerald ones held so much pain and wisdom. Scars she always had to bear. But now, maybe she wouldn't have to carry it alone. "come with us or at least tell us your name," sam, a chubby hobbit, said. the female huffed a breath and rose, her nostrils flaring. "Very well. You've changed my mind," she said, and the four hobits cheered quietly among themselves and led the enormous reptile to the camp the others had sat up for the night. They wouldn't be entering Moira now, not when the night was near. Reaching the fireplace, Emerald stopped as she watched the hobbits run to their friends, smiling.
A small smile tugged at her scaly lips, and the giant dino curled around the group of nine, shielding them from the world outside. a friendship would bloom, more robust than the darkness.
Waking the next morn, Emerald rose and yawned, her teeth shining in the early morning light. Now they would face the long dark of Moria, home to once a great dwarf lord. The female reptile sighed, heavy memories plaguing her mind. she shook them off. Today she would help all she could, even if that meant risking her own life. She didn't have a home nor a lover to go back to at home, so what would be the difference? Hearing the chattering beginning to take up, the Tyrannosaurus turned her emerald eyes to the group she had already grown fond of. She smiled. Her life would be used to protect them, no matter what.

The next couple of days went by with little talk, and Emerald smelled of dangers. They often had to go quiet, but it wasn't easy with a giant t-rex as a companion. When they reached the part of the mountain where the Mithril rivers were located, all were blown off by its vigilance, and none of them could help but look down into endless darkness that plunged along with old lifts used by the dwarves. It was frighteningly quiet in the dark.
Not even emerald ears could hear any sound. Finally, the group found themselves in an old chamber where a coffin of stone lay—the tomb of Balin, the last lord of Moria. Gimli was heartbroken; grief filled the room. Emerald let a two-fingered hand with claws sharp enough to be able to through steel on the dwarf's shoulder. "shh, young Gimli. Death is something we all have to go through. His place is sworn in the hall of your ancestors." her words were kind and full of wisdom.
The giant t-rex had also told her name to this little group. A few had heard of her character in music and fairy tales. They never thought they would see the guard captain to Queen Daenerys Targaryen. When the fellowship asked why she had left her world, emerald replied, "I do not belong there anymore. I turned my back there of my own free will," and nothing more was said about that matter.
After a few more moments in moria's darkness, emerald suddenly stopped. "what's wrong, my friend?" Gandalf said as the rest of the fellowship turned around to see that their reptilian friend had stopped. Her head was raised, and her nostrils opened and smelled as if she smelled something. A deep growl vibrated from her throat. "they are coming," she snorted, and her tail swung irrationally. Soon the great tyrannosaurus had lifted the fellowship of the ring on her back, and at that moment, it came like an insect, crawling down the giant pillars, orcs.
Thousands of them. They all snarled and mocked the group of now ten. Emerald gave an angry snort that caught the attention of the orcs. They all laughed but stopped as the sound of footsteps caught their attention, and an orange light shone up at the end of the hall Emerald and her friends were in. the balrog had woken up.
