"I love you (Y/N)," She chocked out before pulling you into one last kiss. Her hand fell off of your cheek and You desperately kept kissing her. You let out a blood curtailing scream, a ring of magic produced from your body, killing every enemy on the ship. You sobbed clutching her body to your chest. What you didn't notice was the markings on your cheeks fading to a dull grey, the shine in your hair going away, and the spark in your eyes fading. You stuck your white helmet back on.

"What was that?" You heard Keith ask.

"Who screamed?" Hunk worried.

"Why haven't (Y/N) or Pidge said anything?" Shiro asked.

"Are you guys all right?" Lance asked.

"N-no," You responded, sniffling. "I'll tell you once we get back to the castle." You picked up her body and made your way to where to two of you had parked your lions, You sent a mental message to your lion to go to the castle without you.

You entered the green lion and placed Pidge in the little glass chamber that had appeared once you walked in. "I know I'm not Pidge, and God I know she should be here but will you let me pilot you?" You asked the lion as you sat in the pilot's chair. The lion roared and the green screens appeared.

You walked out on the lion, carrying your deceased lover. You hear the Green Lion roar and thudding feet coming your way. You looked up and saw the other paladins frozen at the entryway. "I'm sorry," You mumbled placing her on the ground, and leaving the hanger. 

You trudged to your room and collapsed on your bed in a mess of tears. You felt an immense pain in your chest, you let out a cry of pain and fell back onto your bed curling into the fetal position. You were dying, you knew it.

~Flashback~

You fell out of the sleeping pod, yelling: "Dad!" You fell to the ground with a thud. You heard someone gasp and rush over. You pushed yourself up, looking at the approaching figure. "Allura?" You asked confusion contorting your face.

"(Y/N)! You're alive!!" She exclaimed pulling you into a hug.

"What happened?!" You asked, panic making its way onto your face.

"(Y/N), it's been 10,000 years, all the alteans are dead, You, me, and Coran are the only ones left." She explained slowly.

"Oh," You said sadly. "Ok." She got up and walked to a control panel.

"Paladins to the control room! I have a surprise!" She cheered, the announcement booming all throughout the castle. You heard feet pounding in the hallways and the doors open, You turned around to face the people. You saw Coran, You rushed forward and enveloped him in a hug, silent tears pooling down your face. "Paladins this, is my little sister." Allura addressed, as you pulled away from Coran.

"Nice to meet you!" You smiled. You looked at all the paladins in turn, once you got to the green one something happened, the markings on your cheeks lit up. "Allura?! What's happening??!!" You screamed.

"Do not worry, You have just found your soulmate. Only the royal family can do this, and even so, it's pretty rare." Coran explained.

The small female let out a chuckle. "Guess we're soulmates. My name's Pidge." She said holding out her hand. You took it giving it a shake.

"(Y/N)."

You sighed as you stole the info from the four armed alien. You quickly found the lady who had saved Adam, asking where he was, she gave you this tracker. You followed it to a dead planet. Being me with a bunch of graves. You panicked running around till you found the one labeled 'Matthew Holt'. You collapsed to your knees, feeling defeated as another wave of pain racked through your body. You stared at the label. Noticing that his birthday was wrong.

~Flashback~

"You ready for this?" You asked as you sat across from your girlfriend.

"Yeah, I'm ready." She concluded taking a deep breath. You placed your fingers on her temples closing your eyes. Then you saw her memories and she saw yours. You opened your eyes and looked at her as she opened hers. "Wow," she breathed, "Altea was beautiful."

"Yeah, and Matt seems really nice." You smiled kissing her cheek.

~End Flashback~

"It's that secret code Pidge and Matt had" You exclaimed quickly working out the coordinates. You flew the green lion to the other dead planet, landing it in a hole. You propelled yourself until you found the spy hideout. Suddenly someone attacked you. You kicked their face sending their mask flying. "Matt?" You asked starting at the young man curiously. He looked so much like Pidge, You burst into tears.

"How do you know my name? And why are you crying?" he asked crouching down to your level. You touched his face.

"You look so much like her," You sobbed, another piercing pain ransacked your body causing you to yelp and fall over. "I'm sorry." You whispered.

"Sorry about what?" He asked.

"I'm sorry I didn't protect her more, I'm sorry that she couldn't see you again. I'm sorry she's dead!" You screamed, going hysterical.

"Who?" He demanded.

"Pidge," You replied with a dead voice.

Matt had come back with you, to meet the rest of the team. You touched down and exited the lion with Matt, limping as you approached Allura. "Allura it's getting worse, I'm not gonna last much longer," You whispered clutching your mid-section.

"I'm sorry," she chocked out hugging you tightly.

"Guys this is Matt, Pidge's older brother." You explained pulling away from Allura. Matt gave a sad wave. " Matt this is Lance, Hunk, Shiro, Coran, and Allura. " You said pointing to each person in turn. You saw him explode with love once he saw Allura but didn't hear anything, the edge of your vision going dark until you felt yourself collapse.

You sat on the law of the green lion, sobbing. "I'm sorry Pidge. I'm so, so sorry. I should have seen the centurie. I should be the dead one, not you." You cried.

You smiled brightly as she entered the room, placing down your book. "Hey," she sighed.

"What's wrong? " You asked concerned.

"What if we never find them?" She asked sitting next to you.

"We'll find them," You reassured pulling her into a hug.

Time Skip

You looked at your food, not really hungry. "Eat," she demanded.

"I'm not hungry," You mumbled pushing away the food goo.

"I swear to god, eat your food goo or I won't let you cuddle tonight." She threatened causing your eyes to widen and to shove the goo into your mouth. Finishing the goo in record time. That night the two of you cuddled enjoying each others company.

You sighed as you may on your bed wishing for Pidge to be there. You moaned as another wave passed through you, signaling you didn't have much time left.

You opened your eyes to a green field from Altea, and Pidge, standing in the middle staring straight at you. She rushed forward attacking you with a hungry kiss. "What're you doing here?" She asked after the two of you pulled away.

"You died, so I did too." You explained

"So that means Allura could die at any time?" She asked.

"No, it's because I met you. If I had never met you and you died I would have been fine." You explained. You hugged her tightly. " I missed you so much. "

"I missed you too." The two of you kissed once again, Donnelly together forever.
