backstory-they both had a happy family with their parents they were so young when they lost them. red an gray were playing outside the cave beyond the reef their parents told them not to go were the reef never grows and fish get hunted by sharks or caught by fish nets but gray was like her father an had his looks too red was more like his mother more careful when gray and red had seen the beyond for the first time they thought it would be fun since no one was around..little did the two know they would lose almost everything. so as kids they didn't follow the rules an went out there it was just sand some rocks but so much room to play for the young since they were pretty big as just sparklings, gray at the time was 16'8 red was 16'5.they loved it to play without hurting anyone to have the room they needed they spent hours an hours playing until they heard screaming, they froze when they heard it so close just beyond a big rock. both knew they had nowhere to hide no one could help them. they then saw red flow out from behind the rock and saw something swim out from behind it was a megalodon. as soon as they saw the huge fish they started swimming as fast as they could, the meg was faster and swam after them, red started to scream. the only ones who heard were their parents, they both swam to where the screams were heard an when the father saw the meg corner his young ones he rushed at the meg biting off its fin,the big fish let out a loud painful roar an hit the father into a rock with its tail,the mother rushed an clawed her servos deep into the megs eye an shouted at her children "SWIM!", gray and red had swam home thinking their parents were right behind them when they got into their cave both red and gray had to catch their breath. when gray had hers back she yelled "WE DID IT WE GOT AWAY THAT WAS SO COOL EH?!", she looked back at the caves enenternce/exit where she thought her parents were, "momma, pappa?" she said she swam out the cave an looked around red followed her from behind, "momma pappa!" she called out again but nothing was heard, fear an sadness hit her as she realized what must have happened to her parents, she turned to red he had the same feeling as well they hugged each other crying. they sat on the sea floor near the cave letting their tears float to the surface. after crying for a bit they swam back into the cave and laid on the soft bed of seaweed and cuddled up next to each other for warmth. they looked at each other hoping this was just a dream, then they went to sleep thinking it was just a horrible dream..yet did they know when they wake up their parents would still be gone
