namco games are dark despite being kids games (TW)

ok, im sure we can agree that namco makes some pretty good games
pac-man, dig dug, and galaga were all big hits
and that's just 3 of the many games namco has made
they can be kinda dark tho, here's why

Pac-Man: pac-man's jaw legit gets snapped back as his game over in the arcade game (dont wanna see THAT in 3D)

Dig Dug: the protag (who is named DigDug as well) mercilessly murders dragons and walking tomatos with googles for a living. That's the entire point of the game. How does he do this though? Oh, I dont know, eITHER CRUSH THEM WITH ROCKS OR USE A PUMP TO INCREASE THE AIR PRESSURE IN THEIR BODIES UNTIL THEY E X P L O D E
also the air pump increases air pressure and makes enemy go kaboom death method is probably the cause of a LOT of inflation art. Great job, Namco.

Mr. Driller: speaking of air, Mr. Driller needs it to survive because he is human like (most of) us, and if he runs out, he suffocates. Keep in mind, Mr. Driller is 14, which means they practically are depicting child suffocation here. That's fun.

Katamari (the series as a whole): King forces Prince to roll up stuff to replace stars that were destroyed due to the King being drunk. not ONLY was the king drunk (and was practically drunk driving when he destroyed the stars), but he forced his son (which is a child) to do probably one of the hardest things possible while he did nothing, and that's basically child labor. Also, the people who lost everything due to this one child rolling up the entire earth-

keep in mind, all of the games i talked about were KIDS GAMES. yeah-
im not sure any of what I mentioned is appropriate for kids but-
anyways, this was me talking about the darkness of Namco games. Bye.
