If you ignore me,
I will ignore you.
If you don't start the conversation,
we won't talk.
If you don't put in the effort,
why should I?
But one of us needs to start the conversation.

We're not as close as we used to be,
but I'm here for you if you need me.
I'm sorry that I'm not everything you wanted,
and I'm sorry that my best isn't good enough,
I'm sorry that everything i do disappoints you.
But one of us needs to start the conversation.

I pretend to ignore you,
but I really just miss you.
We're not close anymore,
but I'll be here if you need me.
I'm not a perfect person,
I make a lot of mistakes but still.

Perhaps I’ll start the conversation
If you don't like my words,
don't listen.
If you don't like my appearance,
don't look.
If you don't like my actions,
turn your head.
Simple.
But please take the time to listen
