Trying to regain control of this malfunctioning machine

The body, weak, falls to your feet and kneels

My armour, broken apart, felled by your word

The heart revealing its content after what it heard

Too afraid to look into your eyes

I expect you to walk away and never hear my cries

With your bare feet you stand firm in the toxic emotional flood

And when I feel alone, in the center of this lake, you walk through my cursed black blood

Fearless of all its impurities and braving the shards of bloody glass that rip through my veins with every beat

You touch my face, and my cold soul welcomes your heat

I look up at you, and see you smile

A gentle smile that you have been wearing for a while

I look at the lake of tainted blood and realise that everywhere you stepped has been made clean

Bright red footprints shine like a crimson path in a dark abyss, leading me to an untainted scene

Of you and I, creating happiness in this life

And at that moment...my love for you transcended the soul cause I knew that with you...there would finally be...no strife
