I stand up sleepy from a good nights sleep. Something twitched at the back of my mind but i push it aside. I walk out of my small room and into the living room to get some food when i felt something hit the thin hallway wall. I turn around and audibly gasp as i see a bony tail flicking behind me. I go back into my room and sit down on my bed looking at the tail that was clicked together by bone plates. I gently hold the tail, feeling the tip which was barbed strangely enough. I let the tail slip past my fingers when i feel weight on my shoulders as well. I sigh as i realize that i have wings of bone, no membrane hanging in between but runes line the top bone, which told me that magic could be pushed through it. What was i gonna do? Dad had to have heard that noise, and mom would be on me in seconds. Not to mention my little sis would be going a bit crazy over my new "adaptations". I sighed and walked out of my room and i sit down and i hear my dad ask," what are these? And what happened to cause them?" I shrug and say," they're wings and a tail from a creature called a Gaster Blaster dragon, and i have no idea how this happened, but its something i have to live with, and i know it comes with abilities that are hard to proccess." Dad piped up," well might as well learn to use the wings, since it looks like they can be used with some sort of energy field as the wing membrane." I nod," i know what it needs, i just hope i'm strong enough to provide it." I take a deep breath, pull at my soul and spread my magic to my wings, i close my eyes to help my focus and i hear dad gasp as i push the magic further along then i open my eyes to see glimmering green bone wings, the membrane and runes filled with a green glow, satisfied, i let the magic dimish and it fades slowly, the runes closer to my back being the last to fade. I smile and say," well that answers that question." He nods," how did you know how to use that power?" I sigh," i've been practicing the technique for years and not gotten anywhere with it, then i wake up one morning and see this. I-i still don't know what i'm gonna do next, but we'll see." He nods and my wings curl tightly to my back, which was uncomfortable so instead i wrap them around my shirt, creating a wrap of bones, which was much better, then i wrap the tail around my waist, and smiled." This'll have to do to hide them when i'm out, wear my jacket or a sweatshirt over it all. At least, when i go out in public, which will be everyday soon enough." Dad nods and mom comes out, seeing the bones around my ribs and asking," whats up with you?" I spread out the bone wings again before i curl them back in." We were just discussing how i should hide them, they're easy to handle and use by the feel of it, i just need something to cover them." Mom nods," alright Sarah. If you think you can handle it, we can try to help you through it, after all, its what family is for." I smile softly," thanks, little sis gonna love this though, right?" Mom nods," oh definatly, so try to do the Ring fit daily so your weight stays low enough to fly with them." I nod," once i learn how to fly of course, we could do small nighttime flights, once i learn how to fly." Mom nods and little sis comes out, she may be nearly 4 but shes over half my height as she hugs mom, and mom lifts her up and she sits down on our soft couch. I decide to get up and get some breakfast, standing and going to my hallway of a kitchen. We lived in a almost poor household since we had a medical child in the house, i wasn't working just yet and now, i was worried even more about emploment. I guess i would have to take it one step at a time.
