The Big Three and The Loyal Three
So lately I've been obsessing over the Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
So, if you don't know, in the story of the DLC, a man and his Pokémon, Ogerpon, come to Kitakami
But everyone in Kitakami is racist af and the man and Ogerpon go live in a cave
Bit the village mask maker takes pity on them and makes them masks with Tera Crystals inside so they can go in town
Shortly after, word starts getting everywhere about the beautiful masks
Which attracts the attention of the Loyal Three.
Okidogi, a large shibainu like dog Pokémon.
Munkidori, a monkey Pokémon
And Fezandipiti, a pheasant Pokémon.
And they want the masks. So, They go to the cave the man and Ogerpon live in. Only the man is there.
They attack the man, and make off with 3 of the masks, all but the eponymous Teal Mask.
Later, when Ogerpon returns, her master is nowhere to be seen, and all that's left is the Teal Mask.
The Loyal Three had killed her master.
In a rage, Ogerpon puts on the Teal Mask.
And then, rushes to the town, Looking for the Loyal Three. And there she finds them, with the remaining three masks, gloating about their victory.
She used her signature move, Ivy Cudgel, on all three.
She kept using it.
Until all three were nothing but a bloody paste.
But you see, the villagers didn't know that the Loyal Three had taken the masks nor that they killed Ogerpon's trainer. They believed that they had died valiantly protecting the town.
But the Mask Maker knew better, and tried to speak up.
But he was labeled a heretic for this.
The town begins to worship the Loyal Three, unaware of their true misdeeds.
And eventually, one day, a boy named Kiernan revives the Loyal Three accidentally using the Teal Mask.
It doesn't take long after that for their true natures to be revealed, and for Ogerpon to be accepted for who she is.
But I wonder.
What would happen if the Big Three, met the Loyal Three?
Hangry and Okidogi are alike in their strength.
Penny and Fezandipiti are alike in their beauty.
And Lucky and Munkidori are alike in their supsiring intelligence.
When the Loyal Three were revived and began to do evil once more, one of the groups of tourists they had unknowingly pissed off, was the Big Three.
The Big Three were originally intending on killing the Loyal Three once more when they figured out what they had done to Ogerpon and her trainer.
But Holly stopped them.
When they demand an explanation, Holly explains why.
Remember the purple chains on the Loyal Three's bodies?
They're there for a reason.
You see, they weren't always strong, intelligent, and beautiful.
Okidogi was once weak and scrawny.
Munkidori was once thick skilled and dim witted.
And Fezandipiti once had a face only a mother could love.
But that was until they met Pecharunt.
Pecharunt preyed on their insecurities, and offered them Toxic Mochi. The Toxic Mochi would grant their hearts desires if they ate it.
So of course the Loyal Three ate it. But, it came at a cost. Those purple chains wrapped around their bodies, seeping Toxins into their bodies.
Toxins seeped into the muscles of Okidogi, making him strong enough to break almost anything.
Toxins seeped into the brain of Munkidori, making him wise, and even granting him psychic powers.
And Toxins seeped into the feathery coat of Fezandipiti, making them glimmer and shine like neither before.
But these chains also had a more sinister purpose. They chained the Loyal Three to Pecharunt's will.
Upon getting this explanation, the Big Three relent, and let Holly catch the Loyal Three, on the caveat that she must also catch Pecharunt too.
Holly accepts. She was planning on catching Pecharunt anyways.
So yeah.
