-------------

When Tenyie and Maya were 5 and 3, their parents, Tenya Iida and Kay Minti decided to split up, for their love seemed to no longer be there. "Hey girls, we got to talk," Kay told them, seeming upset. "What's wrong, mama? Did Maya blame me for the toilet again?" Tenyie asked, looking at her parents. "No, it's nothing like that, dear..." Iida said, adjusting his glasses a bit. "Your mother and I...have decided that we're not the right people for each other, and we will be splitting," he explained. "S...splitting?" Maya asked, not seeming to understand. "Like, you're going to be cut in half?" Tenyie asked, seeming confused as well. "No, not like that, your dad and I aren't going to be together, we're going to move into two different houses," Kay explained, Tenyie seeming to understand. "But...why? You said you would be married!" she said, seeming upset. "We were going to try, we've...we've felt this way for some time, but were trying to make it work for you girls. However, we realized that it wouldn't be best and we'd be miserable," Iida had told them, looking away. "So...mama and papa hate each other...?" Maya asked, seeming sad. "No, no, we still care about each other, we just...don't love each other," Iida told her. "But, how?" Tenyie asked, crossing her arms and trying not to cry. "Well, we used to love each other, but after a while, it...it started to disappear in a way, we know this is hard, but we will both try to take care of you two, okay?" Kay told them, going and hugging them.

The girls were very upset, but they knew there was nothing they could do. Kay and Iida had decided that they'd get to see each parent every other day, Kay Monday, Iida Tuesday, Kay Wednesday, and so on. They also decided Iida would find his place, and Tenyie seemed frustrated with this. "Why does Daddy have to move away?! Why can't he just live in my bedroom!?" she asked, not wanting him to leave. "Tenyie, I can't live in your room," Iida told her, rubbing her head. "Then I'll go with you!" she told him. "Sweetie...you'll get to see him often, it's not only the weekends, and we can all still hang out from time to time, we're just going to be living in different places," Kay explained. "But...he doesn't have any beds yet! He just bought that house that's who knows where! He needs a place to sleep and so do we!" Tenyie yelled, not wanting her father to leave. "Tenyie, you'll stay with your mother for a few days until I get furniture, but I'll come by and see you girls, it'll be alright," Iida told her, hugging her. Tenyie cried into his shoulder, hugging him closely. "I love you...I wish you and mommy still loved each other..." she told him. "It'll be okay, I promise," he told her, smiling.

After a few years, they were able to live fairly happily, Kay and Iida did get along and didn't mind hanging out with their children. There was one thing, however, Tenyie was upset about. Katskui Bakugou had joined Kay's life once again. "Kids! You know Katskui, right?" Kay said, standing next to him. "Yeah. He's a pomeranian, what about him? And you're not going anywhere so why's he here?" Tenyie said with attitude. "I-I don't mind Mr. Bakugou..." Maya said, smiling softly. "He's an n-nice babysitter." "Well, I hope you two don't mind me being your roommate," Bakugou told them, holding Kay. "What?!" Tenyie yelled. "We're going to start dating again, and Katskui wants to move in with us," Kay said happily. "He can spend more time with us!" Maya said happily, Bakugou smiled softly. "I'm glad you approve, Maya-"

"I don't," Tenyie said, storming off. "Tenyie..." Kay sighed, looking at Bakugou. "I'm sorry..."

"It's alright, she'll be fine."

"I know, I just don't want her to hate you, she has some problem with you."

Bakugou tried to be in the girls' life as much as he could, treating them as his own. Maya accepted him and was okay with having one mom and two dads. Tenyie, however, didn't like this one bit. She thought that Bakugou was trying to replace Iida so they wouldn't have to see him again, which was not the case. But she didn't see it any other way.

When the girls were 8 and 6, Bakugou and Kay wanted to get married, which seemed to rub Tenyie the wrong way. "Mom, this might be too soon," she told Kay. "Huh? What do you mean?" she asked, not seeming to understand. "I mean, you and dad were together for 4 or 5 years, and didn't get married, but you're with this blonde grenade for 2 and think it's fate?" Tenyie explained, crossing her arms. "Well...we dated before through high school, so it's been more like 7 years, we just think it's right," Kay told her, putting her hand on her shoulder. "Tch, how do you know this guy won't leave you high and dry, eh?" Tenyie asked, Kay then giggled a little. "Oi! What's so funny?!"

"Oh, nothing, you just kind of act like Katskui."

"What?! I'm nothing like that damn nerd!!"

Bakugou then walks in, looking at her. "Eh?! Who are you calling a nerd, extra?!"

"I ain't an extra!! I'll kick your ass!"

Tenyie-"

"Heh, I'd like to see you try brat!"

"Katksui!" Kay glared at him. "Sorry...I didn't mean to call you a brat, but I'll still fight ya."

"If I win, you can't marry mom, but if you win...you can..." Tenyie said, holding her hand out. "Guys...." Kay sweatdropped a bit, and Bakugou grinned. "Heh, okay, if I win, I  marry her next month," he said, shaking her head. "We were already planning that..." Kay said, Bakugou winked at her. "Alright, let's go!" Tenyie said, dragging him to the backyard.

"O-okay guys, please make this a fair fight...you may use your quirks, b-but can't break bones, draw blood, o-or hospitalize anyone...first person to get knocked down w-wins," Maya explained, seeming scared. "Heh, can't promise the last one," Tenyie said, stretching her arms. "Right back at ya," Bakugou said, stretching his legs. "R-ready...set...go."

It wasn't even a minute before Tenyie was knocked out, Bakugou winning. "Oi, you good?" he asked, nudging her. "Mmmm..." Tenyie groaned, sitting up. "You okay? Don't have a concussion?" he asked her, checking her head, but she pushed him away. "Like you care, bastard..." she said, getting up and walking away.

A few years passed, and Bakugou and Kay were married with a baby on the way, Maya would always feel the baby and try to talk to it. "I-is the baby a boy or girl?" Maya asked. "We don't know, we want it to be a surprise," Bakugou said, rubbing her head, and making her giggle a bit. "Whatever it is, it's a poor kid," Tenyie said, giving her mom a shoulder massage. "You've talked to it the most," Kay told her with a smile. "Tch, it'll still be my sibling, but it'll just have a poor excuse for a father," Tenyie explained, Bakugou growled. "S-she didn't mean it, daddy! Please d-don't get mad..." Maya asked, not wanting her sister and stepfather to argue. He sighed. "I won't don't worry, pumpkin," he said with a smile, Maya smiled back. Tenyie glared at him looking away. "Are you going to tell dad?" she asked Kay. "I have told him during the first few weeks," Kay told her daughter. "And he's okay with it?"

"It's not his choice, hun."

"This is still his family, he should be able to decide how our family grows, not Katskui."

"Tenyie, that's enough."

"You can't just act like dad is out of your life, he's still my father, not him," Tenyie said, pointing at Bakugou, which seemed to make him upset a bit. "Tenyie Maradith Iida! You will not sit here and talk badly about your stepfather! I know you still love Tenya, but that doesn't mean you can bash Katskui, he's been nothing but nice!" Kay yelled, making all of them a little scared. "I get you don't like him, but you will respect him and treat him like family! You're grounded, go to your room!" she yelled, Tenyie ran to her room with tears in her eyes. Kay sat down, starting to cry herself. "M-mama...?" Maya went over to her. "Was that the right call...?" Kay asked, covering her face. Maya hugged her, and Bakugou sat next to her, kissing her head. "It'll be alright, don't worry."

Tenyie was 12 and was starting middle school, still butting heads with Bakugou a bit. "Hey, Tenyie!" her friend, Rey, called to her. "They let you pass grade school? I'm impressed," Tenyie teased, smiling at the redhead. "Heh, I'm surprised too, could've sworn you were still in 3rd grade," Rey said, Tenyie playfully pushing him with both of them laughing. "Hey, Ejiri and I were going to hang out tonight, wanna come?" he asked, stopping at his locker with her next to him. "Maybe, I'm sure my dad won't mind, though my mom and step-pineapple will be picking me up so as long as it's not past 10, we should be fine," she explained. Rey stopped and looked at her confused. "What?"

"My stepdad looks like a pineapple, my uncle pointed it out to me once and I could see it."

"Oh, Lord explosion Hunter?"

"Yeah...mom said that he wanted the Hunter to be Murderer, but no one thought that was a good hero name."

"Yeah...I can see why..."

"But yeah, I'll be able to hang out, where are we going?"

Rey looked around, seeing a lot of people. "It's not safe to discuss it here, just tell your parents you're coming to my house and I'll explain then," he said with a smile, Tenyie seemed suspicious, but she knew that he wasn't going to do anything bad like sell drugs or anything.

When she got home, Tenyie told her dad that she was going to hang out with Rey and Ejire. "What about Maya?" Iida asked, adjusting his glasses. "What about her? She'll be here with you," Tenyie said, seeming confused. "Oh, Dad's going on a date tonight," Maya said, cleaning her glasses. "Date...? With who? Did Mom leave the flaming pineapple and take you back?" Tenyie asked with a smile. "...No," Iida said, sweatdropping. "Aww..."

"She's someone who went to UA, she wasn't in a hero course, however we did interact a few times. She asked me out tonight," Iida explained, they then heard the doorbell. "Oh, that must be her," he said, going and opening the door.

When he opened it, they saw Mei Hatsume, smiling. "Heya Tenya!" she said, grinning a bit. "Hello, Hatsume, you are a few minutes early," he said with a gentle smile. "Eh?! You're really going out with target eyes here?!" Tenyie asked, not seeming to like her. Hatsume looked at her, smiling. "Wow! You have one on your leg and your arm, almost like your dad! That's pretty cool!" she said, examining her. "Hey, if you go to UA, I'll hook you up with some cool outfit, I work there now," she explained. "Uh...first off, it's when, not if, and second, what makes you think you're qualified for my dad?" Tenyie asked, crossing her arms. "Tenyie, be nice. You can go to Rey's, but you have to bring Maya, okay?" he said, Tenyie huffed. "Fine, fine."

After Iida and Hatsume left, Tenyie and Maya went over to Rey's, meeting him and Ejiri there. "Hey, dad! We're gonna head out!" Rey told Todoroki. "Okay. Just be back before the sun goes down, I'll call Tenyie and Maya's parents to make sure they know to come here," he explained, the kids went outside and walked into the city. "Alright, Koolaid, where are we going?" Tenyie asked, putting her hands behind her head. "W-what?! You don't know?" Maya asked, seeming nervous. "Don't worry, Maya! It'll be okay!" Ejiri told her, smiling at her. "O-okay..."

"So, we're going to try to find the LOV's hideout."

"What? You know where it is?"

"We think we know the area it's in."

"W-what?!"

"If we find it, we're just gonna tell some heroes, we won't interact with them."

"W-what if they see us..." Maya seemed scared. "We won't! Everything will be okay," Ejiri said, trying to keep her calm. "Yeah, it's not like we'll actually fight them," Rey told her. "We could," Tenyie said. "What?!" All three said to her. "If a group of kids can take down the Leauge, that'll show that heroes are a million times stronger than villains," Tenyie explained. "Mm...we should only fight if we need to," Rey told her, not wanting to get into any trouble. "Okay, okay, that's fine," Tenyie said.

After a while of walking, they found themselves at an abandoned warehouse. "This is the place!" Ejiri said excitedly, then Tenyie and Rey shushed him. "Sorry..." Ejiri apologized quietly. Maya was shaking from fear. "It'll be okay, May May," Tenyie said, rubbing her shoulder. "O-okay..." Maya said, gulping. The four went in and looked around a bit. "So, how do you know this is the place?" Tenyie asked, looking at Rey. "Your cousin, Lilah, told us that she saw one of them go in here," he explained, using his flashlight and looking at the walls. "Let's just see if she's right," Tenyie whispered, looking up and down the different hallways.

Soon, there was a quiet, yet twisted chuckle going through the halls. "What do we have here?" a raspy voice had said, making a shiver go up their spines. "Did they see us come in?!" Ejiri whispered, holding Maya close. "I don't know!" Rey whispered back, as they all looked around. Soon, Tenyie got snatched from the shadows. "Tenyie!" Rey yelled, using his flashlight to look where she was taken, but there was no one there. "Who's next?" A more feminine voice said, a giggle following the question. "Maya, go get help!" Rey told her before he got snatched up as well. "Let's go!" Ejiri yelled, going with her to get help.

The two were able to escape and went to find help. Tenyie and Rey were captured and held in handcuffs. "Look at these two! Do they seem similar? I've never seen these kids before! Do you live in my building?" Twice said, seeming to speak nonsense. "They're so cute, I know one is the Elemental's kid, so adorable~," Toga said, looking at Tenyie, who was glaring daggers at her. "Hmm, this one looks familiar as well," Shigaraki said, looking at Rey. "We didn't mean to break in, we were just wandering around..." Rey said, trying to stay calm. "Oh yeah? And what led you here?" Shigaraki asked, making Rey more nervous. "W-well-" "Go to hell," Tenyie said, not showing any fear. "This one's got a mouth! Pretty brave," Twice said, seeming impressed and annoyed at the same time. "Heh, you were the guys who kidnapped my stepdad?" Tenyie asked, seeming to belittle them. "I don't like the guy that much, but he's a strong guy, it's crazy that you bastards were able to detain him," she said with a chuckle.

"Hm, maybe we should teach you a lesson," Shigaraki said, motioning for someone to get close. "Dabi, show her what we do with brats," he told him, Dabi got close, but then noticed Rey, his eyes widening. "Shigaraki...I can't," he said, whispering to him. "Why not?!" Shigaraki asked. "That's my nephew, Kashi's cousin, and his friend I can't do this," he told him, Tenyie and Rey looking at them. "They're trespassers, they need to learn how to behave, I don't care if it's your nephew, sister, son, dog, whatever, you will go and show them what happens when they wander around where they shouldn't," Shigaraki told him, both glaring at each other for a moment. Dabi stood in front of them and raised his hand, but he stood frozen. He didn't want to, but he slowly started to use his flame when...

BOOM

Bakugou in his uniform came through the roof, rubble going everywhere. "Are you kids okay?!" he asked, they nodded, Kay and Koy, coming down and getting them out of there, holding onto them. Koy used the ground above to get them out of there, then the three adults fought off the LOV until they got away.

"I-I'm so sorry sir! I didn't think this would happen, I just-" Rey started, but then Bakugou cut him off, grabbing his arm. "What the hell were you thinking?! Do you think the league is some petty thieves?! They're dangerous and will kill anyone they want! You endangered yourself, and your friends, my daughters included!" he yelled at him. "I was almost freed, I could've fought them off," Tenyie said, looking away with her hands on her hips. Bakugou let go of Rey and went over to Tenyie. "You're a damn child! You shouldn't have agreed to this bullshit Tenyie!" he yelled at her. "I didn't need you-" "You endangered your sister! What if that was her instead of you and we didn't get here in time? What if we didn't get here in time with you, they could've killed you! Do you want to die so damn bad!?"

"Obviously fucking not! I just wanted to prove I can be a hero too!"

"This is not the way! If I would've lost you-"

"Why the hell do you care what happens to me?! I'm not your daughter, and neither is Maya! We're not your family we're just some kids you live with!" Tenyie yelled, Bakugou widened his eyes, then looked away. "Tenyie, he is part of this family," Kay told her, "he's not just some bum I pick-" "Don't tell me who my family is! You broke up this family for being an idiot and leaving dad when he was great! You're a bad mother!" Tenyie yelled, Bakugou looked back and slapped her. "Don't you EVER talk to your mother like that!" he yelled, a few people gasped, and Tenyie's eyes filled with tears, she then pushed him away and ran off. "Tenyie!" Maya called out. "Give her time, I know where she's going," Koy said, following her.

Tenyie ran into a park, sitting under a tree crying. "Why...why is this family in shambles..." she thought aloud, holding her legs close to her chest. "Maybe it's not," Koy said, standing behind her. "What do you want? I thought you'd be on my side," Tenyie said, not looking at him. "Ten, that wasn't cool. I get you don't like Katki, but he's your stepdad," he explained, sitting next to her. "Yeah, step dad, not dad dad," Tenyie said, seeming annoyed. "Why does that make him bad though?"

"Because! Mom was in love with Dad, my dad, first!"

"Actually, it was Katki."

"Y-yeah, but still! She left him and then got back with him?!"

"Heh, why don't I tell you why?" Koy said, looking at her, Tenyie turned to him. "Okay..."

"You see, after UA, we started working pretty quickly, beating bad guys, saving lives, it's crazy how quickly we became heroes. While it's great to be seen, it's not always the best for love. Katki got a call overseas because they needed his special expertise with some villains, however, Kay was needed here, those two were, and still are, so in love with each other-" "Blegh!" Tenyie interrupted. "Yeah, I thought it was sickening as well, especially when they never noticed, but anyway, Katki didn't want Kay to expect him to come back if he died and leave her grieving at such a young age, so he decided to end it with her. She was upset but understood, and when he came back, she was with your dad. Now, you guys were born, but that's not why their love faded away. While Katki was gone, Tenya came in and took care of her, eventually, they liked each other, and maybe loved each other a bit. Despite having you girls, they weren't connected. They didn't have that spark, they do care about each other, but it just wasn't right. They've been doing better apart, as weird as that might sound because together they didn't feel happy, but when they just became friends again, they felt happy again, and Kay, well. She got that guy who gave her that spark. It was slow at first, and he wanted to be a part of you guys' lives, seeing how cool you were, at the time when your parents split, he wasn't trying to be your stepfather, he was trying to just be like a family friend, to just be there when needed. Even now, he doesn't want you to see him as a stepfather, but he just wants to be part of the family. He's my best friend, and he's annoyed me a lot. But when he dated Kay, I accepted him as my family, even when we didn't always agree.

So, tell me why you can't accept him when he's been there for you?" Koy asked, looking at her. Tenyie looked down. "I...I don't know, it just feels wrong..." she touched her cheek. "Well, maybe, for now, try to just get along and be his friend, but hopefully you'll see him as family, okay?" Koy told her, patting her back.

After a while, the two went back and got all the kids home. When Kay, Bakugou, Maya, and Tenyie got home, Kay took Maya to bed. "Hey...thank you, for saving me and Rey..." Tenyie told Bakugou, looking down. "And...I'm sorry...for what I said." Bakugou looked at her, then looked away. "I'm sorry for hitting you, just...please don't be disrespectful, alright?" he said, looking back at her, putting his hand on her shoulder. She nodded, then went to her room. "Goodnight, nerd." "Goodnight, firecracker," he said with a grin, she smiled a little at him, before going to bed.

Timeskip

After a while, Tenyie got into UA and was in Aizawa's class. Yes. He's still teaching. Just go with it.

Sometime in the middle of the year, Aizawa brought a tv in. "Okay class, today we're going to be watching the news, some of my students are going to be fighting today, and I want you to watch what they do," he explained, turning the tv onto the news. Tenyie got some notes out. "Are we going to be trying these moves out that they use?" Rey asked, raising his hand. "Depends if you want to when we train," Aizawa told him, seeing Kay, Koy Bakugou, Denki, and Kirishima on the tv. "We have reason to believe the league will be here any moment," Kirishima told the news anchor. "But we'll put a stop to them, once and for all," Koy told them. "Hey, where's that one hero who was a villain?" Tenyie asked. "Hm? Oh, she's going to be doing a sneak attack. She has a name, it's Mei," Aizawa said. Tenyie thought a bit. "...The one who works here?" she asked, thinking about Hatsume. "No, no, this is a different Mei," Aizawa told her. "Ah, okay."

"You know there's more than one Mei?"

"Shut up!"

"Both of you, shut up," Aizawa said, pointing to the tv. They watched for a while, at first nothing happened. But then the league showed up, and a whole fight broke out. The class watched intently, some writing stuff down. After a while, Bakugou got knocked down. "Pffsh, he's bluffing it," Tenyie said quietly, seemingly to know his moves. Bakugou went to attack but was getting overpowered. "He seems to be having a hard time..." Rey said quietly. "Oh please, he's going to make it seem that way before he does his big explosion and wins the fight, he does that every time," Tenyie explained to him, seeming bored of the fight at this point. "Get up, Lord Explosion!" Koy yelled, fighting off someone else. Bakugou tried to get up, but then he got impaled in the chest.

Everyone in the class stopped what they were doing. Even Aizawa looked at the screen in fear. "No..." he whispered. "Katskui!" Kay yelled, trying to get to him. Tenyie dropped her pen, watching the screen. Aizawa looked at her. "He'll...be alright..." he said, not sounding very hopeful though. The Leauge once again got away, and Bakugou with a few others was rushed to the hospital, but Bakugou was put into the ER.

Tenyie, without thinking, ran out of the class and out of the school, Aizawa went to catch her but she was too fast. She ran through town, tears in her eyes. 'No, no, no no no, he can't, he can't do this,' she thought, looking at the different building as she ran.

Bakugou was in surgery, getting the piece of metal that the villains used to put in him. The surgery went well and lasted for about 3 hours, however, he needed to stay in the hospital of losing so much blood, and his body needed to rest, and another surgery. Kay wanted to see him, but she was getting checked in and her leg was being looked out. Bakugou looked up at the ceiling. "God...this hurts like hell...I lost so much blood...I might-" his aloud thoughts were interrupted by yelling outside. "Ma'am, you can't go in there!" a nurse yelled. "Let me go, you bastard! I need to go in there!" A voice of a young girl was heard. "Is...is that?" Bakugou thought, sitting up a little. "You need to sign in! You can't just go running into places!" a different nurse said. "He's my father, god damnit!" the girl yelled, and got through, going into Bakugou's room.

It was Tenyie.

"T...Tenyie, you're supposed to be in school..." he said, sounding weak. Tenyie went over and hugged him, crying into his chest. "You can't! You're not allowed to leave us!" she yelled at him, holding him tight. "W...what?" he asked, wrapping his arm around her. "I lied alright?! I may not be able to stand you and get angry with you, but I lied about hating you! You matter so much to me, I love you a lot, dad! So please don't go! Don't abandon me, Mom, Maya, or even Katskay! You're not allowed to leave us! I know I've said that I wanted you gone but you're my family! You can't give up, damnit!" she yelled and pleaded, holding him tightly. Bakugou started to cry, but it was happy tears. He was accepted by her.

Soon, however, a doctor pulled Tenyie away. "He needs to rest," he told her. "LET ME GO! Don't take me away!" Tenyie yelled, trying to get to him. "Hey, you better go you brat, because I plan to fight and come home," Bakugou said with a cocky grin, holding his body. "Y...you better! You bastard!" Tenyie yelled, going and waiting outside the room.

Kay was soon let out of her room and saw Tenyie, talked to her, and asked why she was there. The two waited, and Iida had brought Maya and Katskay, then the adults' friends came and waited to see if he would be okay. After the second surgery, the doctor said that he would need to stay there for a few days, but can take visitors and his family can stay the night. Everyone went in and saw him.

After a few weeks, Bakugou was let out but had to stay home. "You scared me to death," Tenyie said, sounding annoyed, Bakugou then hugged her. "Thank you, you're the reason I fought so hard," he told her, Tenyie hugged back. "Yeah, well...don't expect me to say that junk all the time," she said, laying her head on his chest. "Heh, I love you too, kid."
