Aiden sat on what he now considers his throne, looking down at the Flint & Steel in his hands, as the chaos that he caused was waiting just outside his door. He was alone in the throne room. There were no lights, except for the shine of the starts and the blue glow that shone from the Flint & Steel. He had just thrown Lukas, The Founder, and Jesse all off the Island to their deaths. And since he was alone in that room, he had time to think. He just killed three people, three people he knew, and probably more that he didn't know. That was the moment his emotions snapped, as if he had just realized what he was doing. He had just thrown his former best friend, the ruler of an entire city, and the girl who saved his and everybody else's life, off a sky island. How did it come to this? He allowed his jealousy to overwhelm him to the point of all this. Though this strong sense of regret and guilt only lasted a few minutes, it was too strong for him to bare any longer.

Aiden arose from his thrown and rode the minecart downstairs to the materials room. He scanned every one of those labels until he eventually spotted the one he was looking for: A label with the word "Netherrack" written on it. He grabbed a single block from that chest before making his way back upstairs. He didn't notice at first, but Maya was in the doorway. "Aiden, we're all out of eggs. We need more." She said in a cold voice. Aiden looked at her in surprise, as he wasn't expecting her to be there. You could hear his breath shutter from across the room. "N-No. No more eggs." He replied, trying not to meet her gaze. Maya opened her mouth to protest, before stopping and looking at the Netherrack and Flint & Steal in his hands.

"Have a better idea?" She asked, expecting him to explain. Which he didn't.

Without looking at her and without another word, he went outside, onto the balcony that was behind his throne. Maya stood there, confused, as Aiden continued to break a block of dirt from the ground. "Hello? Are you gonna answer me?" Maya asked in a very sassy way. But Aiden continued to ignore her. He placed the Netherrack in the hole of dirt. The Netherrack was now in between Aiden and Maya. "What are you doing?" But Aiden didn't answer.

"I am damaged... far too damaged...but you're not beyond repair."

Maya looked at him as if he was an idiot. She thought he was playing some sort of prank, like they used to do all the time to each other. He's a good actor.

"Stick around here, make things better. Cuz they've beat me fair and square." Aiden said, as tears began to form and fall down his face. Suddenly Maya was having second thoughts. Aiden never cried.

"Please stand back now..."

She took a few steps back.

"Little further." Aiden sadly smiled.

Maya took few more steps backward, just as Aiden pulled out the Flint & Steel from his jacket.

"Don't know what this thing do... Hope you'll miss me, wish you'd kiss me, then you'd know I worship you..."

Maya's expression turned from sassy to shock, as she suddenly realized that this was no sick prank.

"I'll trade my life for yours--" Aiden lit the Netherrack. And as the blue flames rose, his tears quickened.

"Oh my gosh!" Maya's breath shuttered as she cried. "He can't be doing this" she thought.

"--And once I disappear--" Aiden almost couldn't speak he was crying so hard.

"Wait! Hold on!--" Maya begged as she cried endlessly.

"--Clean up the mess down here!!" "Not this way!!" Aiden and Maya both said in unison...before Aiden...

...Before Aiden threw the Flint & Steel at Maya and stepped into the flame...It consumed his body, and he disappeared, turning into a small cloud of smoke....

Maya fell to her knees. She cried like she never had before in that moment. She cried for minutes at a time...she had just lost her best friend, one of the only two she had left. "Why would he do that? Why would he kill himself?! Aiden would never do that, so why did he?" She thought. Her answer was given to her, in the form of screams, cries of agony, cackling fire, mobs, and Ghasts burning the place to the ground. Still grieving, she looked just ahead of her, and saw the Enchanted Flint and Steel right there in front of her. It felt like it was staring at her. Grieving turned to anger in an instant, and she grabbed the Flint & Steel, turned around, and ran as fast as she could out of the palace. She stopped in her tracks and was greeted with destruction. Destruction that she helped create, destruction that she finally realized was real--All real. In the midst of the chaos, Maya saw Jesse and The Founder at the entrance of the city, swords drawn. She didn't care enough in that moment to question how they were alive or how that got back up to the sky. She ran once more, dashing toward Jesse. Once she was in front of Jesse, she shoved the Flint & Steel into Jesse's chestplate.

"Take it!! I don't want it anymore!!" Maya screamed, still crying. Jesse was too shock to say anything, not that she knew what to say. After a moment, Jesse asked "Wh-Where is Aiden?"

"He's gone, Jesse."

The reason I didn't add the "Our love is God" lines right before Aiden...um y'know, is because I wanted to stay true to the game and not have Maya and Aiden date. Not saying that I don't like Aiden X Maya, I'm just saying. I hope you liked it! And this One-shot was no where near as short as I though it was gonna be. Oh well :/
