Today 47 years ago in 1969 my favourite rocker of all time drowned in his swimming pool of his Crotchford farm home at age 27 . I miss him dearly and will forever wonder what he could've become. I love him so much and hope wherever he is now he's happy. Like himself I'll keep this short and sweet. I miss you

Also this day in 1971 lead singer of the doors, poet and talented person all around, Jim Morrison was found dead in his bathtub at age 27. I also miss you Jim and hope you're in better place.

Also.... This day in 1973 Ziggy Stardust "died". Bowie announced during their concert at the Hammersmith Odeon that it would be the last concert the spiders from Mars would perform. Shortly after the concert Bowie would retire his Ziggy Stardust personae.

And lastly this day in 1984 the stray cats released their debut American album "built for speed"
