TEOTIHUACAN
Nation Name: Teotihuacan
Human Name: Aapo (meaning "father of many nations") [pronounced: ah-poe with the "a" drawn out a bit more than normal. (NOT pronounced ah-ah-poe)]
Age: unknown (thought to be older than even the Mayans or those before them. It is one of the oldest (and largest) ancient cities in the world (at least in the Western Hemisphere).)
he appears to be physically about 49
Sexuality: aromantic heterosexual
Appearance: He has the tanned skin tone of his siblings and insightful dark, near black, chestnut colored eyes. His hair, once black, is a dark peppered grey and hangs in a choppy style around his head. Long side bangs frame his face with shorter bangs in the front. When down his hair reaches about to his waist though he usually keeps it up around his head which makes it seem to reach only about his shoulders. He looks to be old (near fifty actually) though he retains a strong (almost athletic) build about him and his age only really shows in his face. Aapo normally wears old worn out clothing not really bothering to ever get anything new unless he simply cannot wear what he has any longer. Currently his attire consists of a light grey short sleeved shirt with a pocket on the left, dark beige colored pants, and a long brown and ratted at the ends trench coat. He always wears a long black (or dark blue) scarf wrapped around his shoulders and covering the bottom half of his face. He does this to hide the burn scars littering his body and hardly if ever takes the scarf or coat off. He has adopted his Native American siblings' style of shoes and commonly wears worn out black moccasins that usually have a hole or two in the soles from constant use. He also wears a dark brown glove on his left hand (again to hide the scaring) though not on his right. All in all he has the appearance of an old man living on the streets though this is only half true, he does have a house but since he roams so frequently it had taken a tole on his looks thus making him appear ratty and unkempt. Though say this to his face and he will merely chuckle in amusement.
Personality: Thousands of years of living have mellowed and toned down his personality. Though not many today can even recall a whisp of what he once was (a handful at most). In his youth he was a rowdy and adventure seeking soul with a knack for finding trouble. He often fought with his neighboring siblings and others though this is all that is remembered. Nowadays he is calm and levelheaded with an even wiser aura about him than even those such as Hadwin or the eldest among the ancients. He has seen many a day and it shows. He is prone to correcting others occasionally and trying to help the younger ones through life and his ways of teaching are less eccentric and riddle-like than Hadwin's (thankfully). He loves a good joke and is always stating that "laughter can indeed best any medicine that even today's world can give." Aapo, while he does give advice where needed or wanted, considers himself to be something of an "old wandering fool" and refuses to budge on this view of himself. He quite often will disappear for lengthy amounts of time, occasionally even years or decades, to wander the world on foot and contemplate life and his own existence. He never quite gets much out of these excursions but continues to do so nonetheless (no matter his age or "weary bones" (as he says)). In fact he was both always and never around while his youngest siblings were growing up and still does so today. Aapo has high respect for anyone who will stand up for themselves, is honest and loyal, and seeks their own path in life as well as anyone who will firmly stand up for what they believe to be right (whether it truly is or not). He also has a higher respect for those strong in will and spirit rather than in physical strength. He does not hold tightly to his pride or dignity and will back down and admit if he wrong. While he can be stubborn and claim he is quite able to do anything he sets his mind to if correctly argued with he will sit aside and let chores be done by others, though he will not like it. Through all his fussing, however, he is not much of a complainer and is thoroughly annoyed by those who do. He will not stand for laziness or procrastination from anyone if they have a job to be doing unless he sees that they are in some way incapable or should not be doing said job. Aapo carries a slightly eccentric atmosphere due to hardly anyone being able to remember his past very well and he usually keeps it that way, as he often states that "it does no good for anyone to live in the past." He is considerate of others and usually puts his family's (and the few close friends he has) wellbeing over his own. He cares deeply for his family and is willing to go above and beyond for any of them. A trait he has carried since his days as a child.
History: [editing in process]
Why He came to Camp: to explore the island and see that of his family who are staying there.
Allies: Aztecs, Mayans, Incans, Native Americans, Native Canadians, Maoris, Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, and others he deems trustworthy.
Enemies: few if any
Skills: navigation is his main skill though he does do architecture and write as a hobby.
Current economy and status: He holds Ex-Nation status (and has for quite some time) and he has no true economy now as his people have mingled and mixed with those of the Aztec and Mayans and such.
Other: he does not hide his scars for fear of what others may think or out of shame and definitely not because he is self-conscious, but rather so that others don't feel uncomfortable around him. If asked to take away the coat, scarf, and glove he will comply (and feel grateful and happy that someone is comfortable enough around him to do so).
He obtained the scars long ago, well before the Spanish ever came to the Americas, though gained some additional scars when they did. But to this day he harbors no ill will towards anyone responsible for them. In fact he has personally gone to Spain and a few others and given them his honest forgiveness. His siblings may not have but he has forgiven Spain for what occurred centuries ago, he will even go so far as to willingly converse with the man and hold no disdain or dislike for him.
Due to an old injury he has a few back and shoulder problems though mostly just stiffness and aches if he works too much.
Recently he has been missing for over three decades, and has just now come back into view. Though he seems to not have missed any news, almost as if he hadn't been missing at all.......
