Age: not as old as Māori or some of the older tribes but fairly old. He appears to be about 25.

Current economy and status: He has iwi status, and his economy is good.

Why you came to camp international: invited by Moana and jumped at the opportunity to explore the island and meet potential new friends (literally, he hit head while digging through a cabinet when he heard the news......)

Description: Wai has short dark curly hair and a naturally tanned skin tone that is darkened from time spent in the sun. He has friendly light brown eyes that seem to smile more than his mouth does. Wai has a wide shoulders with an athletic build and never slouches. He bears various traditional tattoos on his shoulders, torso, and face.
Wai prefers to wear lightweight clothing, as they are easier to move in, and usually is never seen with any sort of long sleeve. He likes to wear monochromatic T-shirts and if he wears any with a pattern, design, logo, or any sort of print on it he has borrowed a shirt from someone. He wears dark brown pants and will usually go barefoot but if needed he will wear converses or simple slip on shoes or flip-flops.
He wears a cat shaped totem made of jade around his neck.

Personality: friendly, outgoing, adventurous, jovial, and spirited Wai loves to become the life of the party. He can't stand to see someone down or upset and will never fail to try and crack a joke or pull some stunt to make them laugh. He can be somewhat mischievous at times and is prone to pulling pranks occasionally but he doesn't really mean anything by it.
He is playful and inquisitive and never hesitates to speak his mind should he wish to get a point across. His boldness and apparent lack of embarrassment make for quite the combination as he will go to great lengths to get a smile or laugh, where others would have died of mortification Wai is just warming up. He loves to make new friends and is always looking to do so though will not overstep his boundaries and can take a hint if someone does not like his company. Though he has a somewhat laid-back and happy-go-lucky attitude (and can be somewhat lazy at times) he can be a hard worker and can always be depended upon to get a job done.
Wai is very patient and hardly ever shows his anger, preferring to just laugh things off and try to be or stay in good terms instead. However, watch out if you ever do incur his wrath, for he will not hold back once the floodgate has opened.

Skills: Wai possesses above average flexibility and stamina. He also has a great memory and knows many languages (such as Māori, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hawaiian, and Dutch) and is always eager to learn more.

Other: he loves to dance and sing and always invites others to join him. He'll even make up dances on the spot. He can often be seen in a feline form though this is just him playing around. He is more than willing to teach others his skill of simple shapeshifting. Wai loves outdoors activities and his favorites are going canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, or scuba diving with sharks.
He has a pet tiger shark, her name is Marama (meaning "moon").
