Seamus once got into a drinking contest with Ivan just for the heck of it..... Neither can remember who won so they call it a draw....

Seamus is somewhat jealous of Loper because he has at least some brothers/sisters he gets along with well.
Seamus only really has Alistair on his side when they're drinking and he's paying or they're making fun of Arthur...

Else once had a wife. They were quite happy together and even though he knew of the consequences of a nation having a human spouse he didn't care and threw caution to the wind, for he loved her wholeheartedly.
She was noticeably with child when a group of Frenchman attacked their tribe. These Frenchmen were at the time allied with the Choctaw though Nita was unaware of this attack when it happened.
She and her unborn child were killed and Elsu was distraught beyond consoling. Ever since he has hated the French with a passion and it near physically sickens him to even be in the same room as one. However, he is fair and knows that any of the 1pverse are not to blame and can, begrudgingly, tolerate them.

Shotek's scar was made long ago by Shikoba in a moment fit of rage.

Shikoba still carries that hunting knife to remind him of his mistake....
And Shotek forever bears the remembrance on his face...

Shotek once managed to pull one over on the early American settlers a while after he had to cede land over to the American government. He led Wenutu to a certain spot on a large creek and let him and a few other beavers build their dam there, thus blocking the water there for the settlers nearby and letting it create a small pond for his own tribe. 
It took a while for the settlers to figure out what happened and they had to walk a bit longer to another water source for many days. Though when they found out what had been done there was really nothing they could do as the Chickasaw were already prepared and weren't letting them any closer to the dam any time soon.

Ben's original design was female. 

The Aztecs also started out female and the Mayans male.... Of course as you now know that was all later changed...

Jorge was almost a reclusive drunkard who hated everything..... But that idea was scrapped....

Moana does not uses contractions while Kea can't seem to not...

Hadwin's blindness was half to create a weakness for his magic. As most of his magic depended on being able to see.

Mazatl, Sachihiro, Hadwin, A'Tabai, Ammon, Seamus, Moana, Shikoba, Shotek, Elsu, Awhina, and Notchli are the only ancients (of my own OCs) that  do not bear a scar from having died or nearly died.

Nita was almost named Koi (meaning Panther) but that was later changed.

Aapo calls his family (that it applies to) by their name meaning. But there are some who have the same meaning (Ex: Mazatl and Ayi both mean deer) so then he calls the younger by the name meaning and the older by their other name.
To avoid confusion.

Kea's curses do actually have many weaknesses:
• he can't curse an innocent
• a curse or reverse-curse equal or greater than his own can dispel his curses
• certain curses require being able to see color; he can't use those or counter them
• his curses won't work if he loses concentration for even a second
• his shadow curses don't work in the dark or when too much light is present
• his fog curses can be manipulated by telekinesis
•
Etc.

Kea was originally going to be a very depressed and solitary person who could see the future but only people's deaths....and he couldn't tell them about it....
Instead he was changed to a solitary, snarky, ill-tempered, sarcastic, and insult snapping cranky witch of sorts....

And the future seeing was given to Zeltzin.....

Though not the whole reason, Eruera was made to be laid-back, carefree, and somewhat lazy to counteract Kea's harshness and inhospitableness.

Shikoba was almost made to be cold-hearted and bitter about his past.
But that was later given to Nita....

Though he already knew him beforehand Ben only met Nathan because he wanted to get as far away from British Columbia as possible... So he settled on Nova Scotia....

Though they act the complete opposite most of the time, Ixazalouh doesn't actually have a mother's instinct or care, she merely has the power of empathy and loads of compassion and sympathy...
Xoc tries to hide the fact that she was born with a mother's instinct and a degree of sympathy, but when push comes to shove it makes itself known.

Mazatl is like a store bought lava cake...
Strangers and enemies can't open the plastic container, most of his family just downs know what to make of him... But to few, deep down, his stone heart will melt for.
