Appearance: He has dark wavy hair that goes down to just past his chin (reaching the bottom of his neck in the back) and has backwards flow to it due to his spending so much time swimming underwater. He shares his siblings' tanned skin tone, though his is a darker shade, and has dark brown (almost black) eyes. His athletic build can be noticed immediately as he refuses to wear a shirt (unless necessary). Eruera, due to his totem, has shark-like teeth that he isn't afraid to show with his usual crooked grin. He has a long scar across the middle of his face (starting at the top left and going all the way down to the bottom right) that was the result of a harpoon incident. He bears some traditional tattoos on his face, upper arms, legs, spine, and upper torso. Though the tattoos on his legs are usually hidden by his light-grey pants. He dislikes wearing regular or closed-toed shoes and always opts for sandals instead, whether it's warm or freezing.

Personality: straightforward, stubborn, wily, and highly mischievous Eruera is the type that loves to get into small spats with his siblings and close friends. While he is a hard worker and does his assigned tasks diligently he is also very lazy and laid-back most of the time. Extremely loyal to those he considers true family (as well as those he respects and looks up to) he is willing to do anything to keep these specific persons out of harms way, no matter the consequence to himself. He loves a good laugh and often teases his siblings and close relations though he doesn't really mean anything by it. Eruera, though rarely ever is he truly angered, is equipped with a fiery and sometimes deadly temper. (It is wise not to harm anyone he holds in high regard). He has a soft spot for children and close family and finds it hard to firmly say no to them. Though he is usually more or less an open book one can always tell how he truly feels by the mood in his eyes and the set of his grin.

Other: his totem has the special ability to make its wearer able to consume and digest literally anything (if they can fit it in their mouth and chew it....). Though the downside is if it is ever taken off anything harmful that has been eaten will take its normal effect immediately. For this reason his necklace is shorter than that of his siblings', so that it will not fall off.
He is more active at night than during the day, as he takes after his totem quite literally.
Though it may seem otherwise by the constant bickering and rough housing, Eruera and Mawake are the closest of the Māori siblings. (A close second for Eruera being Wata and Moko).
Eruera dislikes Atamai, not only due to but mostly because of her treatment of her twin brothers.
He is very interested in his Native American cousins and wishes to know more about them (even though he was (half-heartedly) told by Kea to "leave them be"...).
