I wrote this poem in school, but I just wanted to share it with you all!

You are to tied by single string
Trying to break free of all the pain and suffering
Just like me, together, we're binded to our past
Fighting through all these hardships

Wishing to be let out like a caged bird
Society traps us in its web and we must fight to get free
The words that are spoken aren't always true
So don't listen to the bad names and other trash

You want to be free and live your own life
But you're knocked back down everytime you stand back up again
Like drowning in an ocean you are overwhelmed with pain
For me I always try to smile to hide my Past

Wishing for Freedom
Wanting to lift our wings and soar
Thinking we could make it to the top of the hill
Just push yourself and you'll get through this

With the friends you've made
Stick by them while you can
They won't always be there, so try to be a little independent
Even though you're hurting, smiling can bring you happiness
