A cult lead by Thelonius Silveria, a Gallade with a silver tongue and a knack for speaking. Silveria used to be an undefeated fighter, until a Shiny Gardevoir beat him. The two later married, and Thelonius returned to the ring. But, no matter the Pokémon, whether by luck, skill, or something else, he was always bested whenever a Shiny Pokémon made its way to him.

Enlightened, Thelonius retired from fighting, and chronicled his story, findings, and thoughts into a book he called "A Species' Hidden Luster". It was in this that he detailed his theory that Shiny Pokémon were superior to those who weren't.

He also detailed what he believed to be the "scourge" of uniquely colored Pokémon, who were trying to take the world from the next "evolution" of Pokémon; a race of Shiny Pokémon.

Around this idea, Pokémon young and old, from all walks of life, shiny or not, began to rally around and support this idea. The idea became the subject of a group, then a coalition, then, a full-on cult.

Among the followers were Morgan and Arthur Ronoh, who after reading Silveria's findings, cast their miscolored son out of their home, leading the young Symon to Gwynevere, and his name change to Gawain.

The Disciples of the New Luster Race meet on Corusc every other Thursday, with rituals happening at the peak twice a year. They believe that their efforts will lead to their goal of a new race of Shiny Pokémon, with all outliers converted, or destroyed.
