Well... this is weird.
My state is in the news. That doesn't happen much.

This isn't cool. Violating the 1st Amendment isn't cool.

For those too lazy to read (or who lack interest, I understand), a convicted murderer is suing the Topeka Correctional Facility for "imposing Christian beliefs". Being subjected to "Christian propaganda", punishing those caught with objectionable religious materials, Christian-themed radio and TV broadcasts, and proselytizing messages (messages trying to convert the prisoners).

That's the gist, now into the opinions from me:

Violation of the 1st Amendment (or any of them) is not okay.

The 1st Amendment, as I'm sure you all know, gives freedom of religion and expression, as well as prohibits the enacting of a national religion.

But nope, this prison apparently ignored that, and even tried to coerce the inmates to their side.

It's this kind of non-separation between church and state that really pisses me off.

I don't care what religion you follow: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, f*ckin Zoroastrianism; this is not okay.

I hope this gets fixed, or we may have to revisit this story. And that's something I don't want to do.
