Lauren: *is reading a book while sitting by the window, with Cylus lying on her lap, playing on her phone* Hey Cylus?

Cylus: Yeah?

Lauren: How... Well...

Cylus: What?

Lauren: Do you think we'll always be like this?

Cylus: What are you talking about?

Lauren: I mean, it's always fun being with you. We play, we do stupid stuff, we go on adventures, but... But will it last forever? And do I want it to last forever?

Cylus: Hmm?

Lauren: Eventually, you'll have a family of your own. Same for me. You know, move on. Marriage, jobs, kids, all that stuff.

Cylus: Grown up stuff, yeah, so what's the problem there?

Lauren: *closes the book* It's just that, when that time comes... We won't be this close anymore. I like this life and I'm not sure if I want-

Cylus: *puts her finger on Lauren's lips* Shh... You worry too much, Lauren. Think about it. We both have friends and we spend time with them. We... even fall in love with the people we like. I mean... relationships are huge commitments. But, here we are, still close as always!

Lauren: *looks down*

Cylus: Of course we'll always be together, silly! We're friends! And not just any friends. We're Cylus Stone and Lauren Adela, the best friends forever! So, why are you so worried anyway?

Lauren: *hugs Cylus, tears welling up in her eyes* I have friends all over the place, but you're the only best friend I got.

Cylus: *tears also start to well up in her eyes*

Lauren: *tears start to stream down her face* I'm scared of losing you...

Cylus: *hugs back, tears also streaming down her face* Silly...
