A/N random story I came up with. Since nothing from between when Crystal/ Diamond was taken from Herobrine and raised by Steve Ive thought up many stories about what happened. Here is one of those stories starting for right when it happened. Enjoy

She was sleeping peacefully, having worn herself out from all the exploring she'd done in the over world. She was barely able to keep her eyes open as her father carried her back to her room. Oh how much she loved him. After all, he was the only other human and relative she had.

Once her head hit the pillow she was out, dreaming of the trees and midnight blue sky full of stars. Of the new animals, much less violent than the ones in the nether. Of the water, cold beneath her feet but so refreshing. She couldn't wait to see what her father had planned for tomorrow.

Fast asleep, she didn't even stir as her bedroom door opened and a figure wearing a cyan shirt and jeans. Holding an iron sword.

He approached the bed quietly and raised the sword, ready for the blow, before drawing the covers back. And he stood in shock staring at the little girl.

"I thought he was kidding" he muttered. There was a growl from behind him.

"Last I heard you weren't allowed here" the enderman said staring down with his glaring green eyes.

"Last I heard there's a team here about to blow up this castle and murder Herobrine" the man said with a smug grin.

"Now why would I believe you Steve? You've always been a liar" the enderman retorted "anything to get your way remember?"

"Ah, but I just came for a visit. I didn't know I hade a niece" Steve said looking back at the girl who was still asleep "tell me, has she ever been to the over world Phil?'

"Touch her and you're dead" Phil growled and took a step forward. Steve just smirked at him.

"Just being here I'm already going to die. I know it's your job to try and kill me so go right ahead" Steve said spreading his arms out "kill me in front of the girl"

"She has a name" Phil said glaring.

"Oh, I guessed that. Probably something fancy. My brother is over the top" Steve replied with a shrug. Phil lunged forward in anger giving him the perfect time to dodge and slash the sword across the Enders side. Phil fell with a gasp.

"Still think you'll win?" Steve asked as he raised the sword again. Phil used the rest of his energy to teleport away.

"That was easier than I thought" Steve said and turned back to the bed where the girl still slept soundly as if nothing happened. He walked to the side of the bed and loomed over her.

"Now what should I do with you?" He said reaching for his sword again. A shout from outside caught his attention and moments later Sky came in.

"Steve, there's an army coming this way" Sky said. "What do we do?" Steve sighed

"How big and what mob?" He asked.

"Pretty big and pigmen" Sky responded

"Lead them away, finish setting the explosives and get out. Try not to hit them either" Steve replied "it'll only make them mad and get you killed" Sky nodded and ran out again to relay orders.

Steve sighed "what did I get myself into?" He turned back to the girl "and you how have you been able to exist without us knowing?"

As if in response, the girl rolled over in her sleep giving him his first look of her face. It was small, something to be expected of a child, and her skin was ivory white. She obviously hadn't seen the light of the over world in any of her days. But somehow she still looked healthy. There was a small smile as she curled under her covers. Steve sighed.

"Come here" he said as he leaned over and picked her up. Her smile grew a little as she curled closer to him in his arms. He couldn't help but smile too as he walked towards the door.

Looking out it seemed the team had left, probably being thorough in setting the TNT. They did seem to like blowing things up.

All the better Steve thought as he hurried to the nether portal they had build near by. Just in case they needed a quick getaway, just what he needed at the moment.

The purple molecules danced around him as he felt the weightlessness of the teleportation process. It seemed like eternity and only seconds at the same time when he found himself looking out onto the plains where it was built. The sun light the far edge of the horizon but it was just dark enough that mobs were still roaming freely around. As always they stopped to look at him before staring towards him. He didn't waste any time in hurrying down and into the forest towards the path that could take them home.

He reached it later when the sun had risen and scared the mobs away. He had placed the girl in his bed upstairs and sat at the table thinking about what to do with her.

No way I'm letting her go back to him. That only spells disaster. I could kill her, but how? She's still a child after all. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "What did I just do?"

The sound of footsteps broke his thoughts. He looked up and towards the steps where the noise was coming from to see the girl standing there looking at him with it grey eyes. Her night dress loose around her with bits of twigs caught on one of the edges at the bottom. She had a look of confusion on her face.

"Daddy?" Her small voice rang out breaking the silence. Steve stared in shock. He hadn't expected her to sound so..... Innocent. Coming for him he had believed she'd have had a more menacing voice. One that suggested she was a killer. But instead she sounded like the lost child she was. He knew he couldn't go through with any of the plans he had right there and then.

"Yea sweet heart?" He said back with a small crack in his voice. She smiled a small amused smile and walked towards him.

"Where are we?" She asked now standing right in front of him swishing her dress back and forth with that same little smile on her face. He smiles back.

"Home"

A/N so how'd you like it? I'm sorry I haven't updated anything else but I hope this little short can entertain you until I get an actual update out.

So that's the story behind the story about how Steve got Crystal. I've been thinking you guys were probably wondering so I decided to share a bit. There might be more like this if you want but I'm not sure. It all depends on what you all want.
