What would happen if Dark Gia, turned Sonic into a Nightmare Monster, instead of Werehog?

The World has fallen into Darkness, since Sonic failed to defeat Dark Gia, even with the help from Chip, the rest of Sonic's friends had to resort to living on Angel Island, and only sending Omega and Shadow, to get supplies when ever they ran out, as for you, and Tails, you both were concern because after the Darkness took over, nobody has seen or heard from Sonic, fearing that he was either dead, or under the influence of Dark Gia's magic.

Sighing to yourself you took the liberty to look for him yourself, well you didn't get far, you were only inches away from the woods, with the Nightmare creatures ambush you, you were strong enough compared to Shadow, Knuckles, or Omega, to fight your way through, you ready for them to tare you apart, that was until.
